I believe this book saved my life.

I read this book several years ago and I stopped drinking coffee, soda and I stopped eating all dairy products. I believe because I did this I was able to survive stage III ovarian cancer. I want to thank Harvey and Marilyn diamond for this.

informative and motivating

Great information about how food interacts with your body. The information in this book feels much more trustworthy and makes a lot more sense than a lot of the new age diets. It is also simple to follow and implement. On day 1 of reading, I was already encouraged to make changes to my diet.

This book should have been and could have been 2 hours tops

I think the principles of the book and the overall message are clear and interesting. However, it feels like the writes had a word count minimum. Many times it’s the same message repeated over and over with different power words. I recommend anyone that is interested in this book and it’s message google the main points or buy the book and skip all the fluff.

Needed more explination of the food paring

It was interesting to process, however I felt the main issue was the proper food paring. I'm still not sure what foods go with what. I guess I can research that more, but I felt that would have been better time spent on discussing vs the many anecdotes. I'm here, I'm sold, give me the details not the stories on how it's helped people or constant comparisons. The PDF included does give a meal plan but not the proper food paring. The meal plan is less important than the foundational understanding of proper food paring.

great info

The overall book is good. However, changing the narrator for part 2 was disappointing. It was hard to connect so I didn't listen the final chapters.
Also, my audio version cut the chapters off. Several chapters ended prematurely. This is more of a technical issue and not content related.

I loved the info in the book. I was ready to apply the info so that is also important to note. I found this book very helpful and applicable today although it was written almost 30 years ago

An interesting concept - some good ideas

An interesting listen. Some of these ideas hold up well in 2021, while others seem to have no scientific evidence upon further review. Regardless, I really enjoyed this book. While I'm not sold on the theory of food combining, the fact that we all need to eat more real food and less fake food cannot be overstated. Anyone on a weight loss journey, or anyone trying to simply be healthier, should check this out
