Fantastic!
Though not prone to "flights of fancy" Miss Isadora Delafield certainly went on an unexpected adventure in this wonderful book.
I loved getting to know Izzie, seeing her blossom and find what Aunt Birdie would call the "gifts God gives all his children" was simply delightful. I loved all the humorous mishaps Izzie encountered.
I also loved Ian Mackenzie. A man set to climb the ranks of society, until he sees some long buried truths in his heart.
I love the unique humor, quirky characters, and sweet message the author spreads through the pages and into my heart.
No spoilers from me but hold on, there are some children that will steal your hearts and an unusual assortment of pets that keep things interesting.

Sweet but predictable
This was a sweet, light story that included fun elements. The “dramatic” elements were predictable in coming and being solved. Definitely worth getting on sale, worth a credit if you are looking clean romance that focuses on basic Christian values without being too preachy.

Cute Story
The book was fun and might’ve been thoroughly enjoyable if I had read the book format, or with a different narrator. I truly hate being negative about a narrator’s performance as we are all doing the best we can in our jobs, I choose to believe. However, this is likely not her calling as I had to force myself to continue with this book with the sing-song, same inflection for every character narration. So sad when a book has potential, but never arrived for this reason.

Entertaining
Although I have already read this Jen Turano favorite, it was fun to listen to this amusing story again. Andrea Emmes did a good job narrating scenes full of children, animals and creative happenings. She did a good job with varying her voice to reflect characters and the action of the novel. It was a fun listen that had me laughing out loud. I was given a copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.
