Story
Blaire Gibson knows better than to have one night stands. She prides herself on her decision-making skills. It’s the one asset that has never let her down. But even the best thinkers have weaknesses. Hers is a delicious business mogul with a quick tongue. Unfortunately for her, that tongue is good for more than just talking. What begins as a single night in a hotel room spirals into an unusual agreement. As late nights provide the space to trade secrets and walls come tumbling down, more is shared than just pillow talk.

Billionaire businessman in need of a fake fiancée... It should be the easiest job ever for an out-of-work actress, right? All I have to do is pose as Grant Caldwell (the Third)’s fiancée for a fancy-pants weekend in the Hamptons. Easy. Wear designer clothing and sip champagne? Don’t mind if I do. Flirting with Grant? It’s so delicious I should be paying him. Nothing can go wrong as long as I can keep my hands off of him. But that’s the hard part. And I do mean hard.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

My heart opens to Cooper Haywood the moment we meet. How can it resist? He's charming, devastatingly handsome, and sweeps me off my feet before I realize the impact he's making. And then it's too late. We fall too fast to worry about the consequences. We love so hard that we ache when we're apart. Even though I have a past that still haunts me and he has a future that could put us at risk, none of that matters when we're together. Until it does. And then everything changes.

I've been dreading this for a year. Okay, that's a lie. I've been dreading this reunion since we graduated high school 10 years ago. So why am I here, standing outside the door like the eternal wallflower I am? I'd say it's because my younger sister browbeat me into it, but the truth is, I'm tired of being a nobody. Of never taking a risk with myself and my life. And...well...maybe I'm also hoping to see him. The tall, insanely gorgeous man walking my way now. Oliver Fritz is regarded as one of Boston's sexiest doctors. I know him as the former god of our school.

Publisher's Summary
Wanted: a situation-ship.
I’m a single female who’s tired of relationships ruining my life. However, there are times when a date would be helpful. If you’re a single man, preferably mid-20s to late-30s, and are in a similar situation, we might be a match.
Candidate must be handsome, charming, and willing to pretend to have feelings for me (on a sliding scale, as the event requires). Ability to discuss a wide variety of topics is a plus. Must have your own transportation and a (legal) job.
This will be a symbiotic agreement. In exchange for your time, I will give you mine. Need someone to flirt with you at a football party? Go, team! Want a woman to make you look good in front of your boss? Let me find my heels. Would you love for someone to be obsessed with you in front of your ex? I’m applying my red lipstick now.
If interested, please email me. Time is of the essence.
From the USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author comes a “fun and flirty!” fake dating situation between two coworkers that quickly straddles the line between friends and lovers.

Flirt
Flirt is the new book in the Carmichael Family Series. This book is told from dual points of view by Moss and Brooke.
Brooke works for Moss's family company and is always around him and his fun-loving brothers. She hasn't had the easiest past and is invited to her grandma's birthday party, but she doesn't want to show up alone. Her mother and aunt always pit her and her cousin together. So she puts an ad for a fake boyfriend.
SO much happens in this book, and it is easily one of my favorite Adriana Locke books, but I don't want to get too much into it to spoil it for others. Let me just say I absolutely adored getting to know Moss and Brooke, and hope to see them and Moss's funny brothers again in the future!

Entertaining
Performance:
I absolutely loved this audible. Lance Greenfield and CJ Bloom are both dynamic narrators and well matched when it comes to delivery and cadence between characters / chapters. This is a comical, steamy, and sometimes emotional listen all of which this duo conveys convincingly.
Story:
I can not emphasize how much I relate to Brooke. Even if I didn’t personally relate to her many of the things she struggles with I think plenty of adult women would…career, love, mothers, insecurities, ducks… these themes are something I think most women can relate to. I am happy to say that while she might struggle she never comes across as whinny or weak (very much the opposite) and for that I am grateful to Adriana Locke and how she wrote this heroine. As for Moss…SWOON! Besides being incredibly hot the man has the best heart and can go all kinds of Alpha when needed. <fanning myself>. The jokes, the chemistry/steam, and the true connection all make for such an enjoyable and entertaining listent.
In true Adriana Locke form this is the start to what is sure to be a 5* family series. I already love the family dynamic between the brothers and their parents. Again, I loved this listen and I am so excited to see what’s to come!

A Fun Flirty Read
Oh my did I love this story! Moss and Brooke had that undeniable chemistry that you could feel seeping through the pages.
Moss was charming and swoony. He and Brooke made for such a sweet and sexy couple. This was such a fun and entertaining read. I loved the family camaraderie and shenanigans. Adriana Locke gave me everything I could ask for in a friends to lovers, workplace and fake romance. What an amazing start to what I already know is going to be an addictively good series!

This was perfection
This was such a great listen! The story was amazing and narrators were perfection!
This book hits so many points I love:
- Co-workers
- Friends to Lovers
- Fake Dating
- Meddling Family
Brooke needs to get her overly dramatic family off her back. She loves her grandmother and wants to celebrate her birthday, but her mom, her aunt and her scummy ex-husband all have a hand in making that impossible... She decides she needs to find someone who can be her arm candy and shield and in exchange, she will do the same for them.
Moss is Brooke's friend and they work together for his family's company. He's forever dealing with his brothers saying they are going to ask Brooke out and he doesn't want that. But he doesn't want a relationship himself either. When he finds out about Brooke's attempt to find a stranger to fill the "Fake Boyfriend" roll, how will that sit with him? (I'm assuming you can guess "not very well" and you'd be right).
The two start out on a "Situation-ship" planning to stay the best of friends and to not stray anywhere over the lines they have both drawn and decide need to be held firm (they each have their reasons and past issues). When Situations become Relations (we all know it will) what are they going to do?
Lance Greenfield & CJ Bloom slayed in this performance. I was knocked off my feet multiple times by these two. The way the words were written and the way Lance delivered the emotional battle within Moss.... I was wrecked. CJ Bloom made me smile and laugh and when she had to deal with her family drama it made me sick. I was there every step of the way with her. This was an amazing audiobook to listen to.

I really enjoyed this one! 4.5-stars rounded up.
I really enjoyed this one! 4.5-stars rounded up.
Fake relationship is my favourite trope, so I'm always happy to grab any book (especially audio with my favourite narrators) that is all about it, and especially one that does it so well, and in a unique way, like this one. Glad to have finally read a book by Adriana Locke, who I've been following on IG for ages and chatted with - she is such a talented author! I've picked up quite a few of her other books over the last while (and now another series that was on the current Audible sale), so now there is no excuse to keep procrastinating.
This was a great example of fake relationship pairing up two people who never think a relationship between them would work - because they work together - but outside forces (friends and family) push them together when many circumstances occur and come up that requires Brooke to have a date to her grandmother Honey's birthday party, and a few other events like an awards ceremony, and Moss is very happy to fill that role. He'd rather not see her with anyone else there, especially not his younger brother!
Brooke is an interior architect that hires on with a family owned and operated business that Moss's parents run, and they were paired up from day one to work on the jobs together. His parents (Mom) had hoped something might spark between them. When Brooke's friend and her write a fake online non-dating profile but it accidentally gets posted, Moss's Mom jumps on the chance to finally, officially move things along. Strings are pulled, and Brooke has a date to the party, where her Aunt will be bringing her new beau, Brooke's ex-husband (and bane of Brooke's existence). Ick.
So many shenanigans throughout the storyline, with brother against brother (fights and pranks), both Brooke and Moss giving in to that initial attraction they each had from day one (but of course, working so closely together, both knew that it wasn't going to be a good idea to pursue anything).
Brilliant storyline, great workplace and fake relationship tropes, and really excellent writing from Adriana Locke. Can't believe I waited so long to read my first of hers, especially when I have a few sitting in my various libraries!
Narrators were top notch, and did a brilliant job. CJ Bloom is one of my long-time favourites, and I always know that it's going to be perfection. I could listen to her read just about anything, and it would be a soothing voice and an excellent performance. Lance Greenfield is a relatively new addition to my tops list, who I discovered last year. Another brilliant voice that is always perfection in everything I listen to from him. Excellent job from both of them.
I highly recommend this one, especially for those that love these tropes, romcom, and the best narrators around!

Super cute low angst friends to lovers.
This audio was exactly what I needed. Low angst, sweet and fun. I am in love with the McAlister family and hope each of the brothers gets their own story.
This is a friends to lovers, fake dating book. But it is done in such a fun way. Brook just needs a date so she jokingly makes an ad that actually gets posted. The McAlister brood being the overly involved pranksters they are of course arrange for the two best friends to end up together.
Lance Greenfield as Moss was so good. I love getting to hear him in a fun lighthearted jokester role. He is a total flirt and does it all so well.
CJ Bloom was perfect for brook. She gave such a good portrayal of this strong standoff but fun girl.
Falling in love was effortless for these two. Also now I want a lanai.

Sweet Workplace Romance
Flirt is a fun, heartwarming “situationship” romance. Brooke has been burned romantically and is looking for a fake date for social events. Moss is a sweet, aloof, consummate bachelor. Flirt is a workplace romance about a relationship that develops from a lovely, goofy friendship. Moss and Brooke have a witty banter-filled friendship and a make a great team professionally. When Moss finds out Brooke is in a pinch, he jumps to her aid. Flirt is a delightful romcom with a lot of heart. I loved the Carmichael family. Their warmth, kindness, and endless shenanigans are absolutely charming. Moss is charismatic, kind-hearted and silly. I love the sibling dynamic of the brothers. The Carmichael brothers are outrageously hilarious.
Lance Greenfield and CJ Bloom gave wonderful performances in the Flirt audiobook. CJ Bloom is one of my favorite narrators. She gives a fantastic performance bringing Brooke to life in Flirt. Her narration of Brooke is enchanting, sultry, and completely lovable. Lance’s narration of Moss was clever, funny, seductive, and sweet. Grab your tissues and snuggle in for an emotional listen. CJ and Lance give gut-wrenching, powerfully emotional performances. This was my first Adriana Locke book, and it won’t be my last. I’m totally hooked on these Carmichael HEAs. Get this audio to find out which Moss is your favorite!

Fun audiobook with interesting characters
Adriana Locke is a new author for me, but I will definitely listen to more of hers in the future. I really liked the theme of staying strong and knowing what you need for yourself. I was really hesitant at the beginning of the book because it seemed like Brooke left a previous relationship out of the blue without even talking about what was bothering her, and a lot of relationship issues can be solved with a simple conversation. However, once the ex appeared in the story, Brooke's actions didn’t seem so unreasonable.
Flirt was a fun listen with interesting characters. Brooke and Moss definitely won me over, and while this story stands alone, I'm hope there will eventually be stories about Moss's brothers.
The audiobook is performed by the amazing team of Lance Greenfield and CJ Bloom. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook as the narrators really brought the story to life.
I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and the opinions here are my own.

Fun, flirty and sweet love story!
Flirt is the perfect title for this story! This is a fun, flirty and sweet friends to lovers, fake realtionship, workplace romance. Brooke and Moss have fantastic, easy instant chemistry. Their banter, their friendship, and the ease in which they grew from friends to lovers was natural and the pacing was perfect. From the moment Brooke and Moss commence their 'fake' relationship to attend Brooke's grandmother's birthday party, there is non stop laughter, heart and heat between them. Their feelings are growing and they are unable to resist the pull to one another. Brooke had some family drama to overcome and I totally swooned over Moss' unwavering encouragement of Brooke, and always being in her corner even when her own family could not be bothered. I loved the introductions to Moss' Brothers. They were a lot of fun, and am eager to learn more about them in upcoming books in the series. If you like contemporary romance, that is realitively low angst with funny, emotional, dynamic characters that will capture you from beginning to end this is the story to pick up. Lance Greenfield voices the character of Moss. His rich baritone voice is always a favourite, and I easily fell for Moss listening to Lance deliver on his character's emotion, passion and vulnerabilities. I adore CJ Bloom and her fierce and strong delivery of Brooke. She is truly a joy to listen to and I thought together Lance and CJ brought this story and these characters to life beautifully.

Lovely & fun low angst fake dating
This is the first book in the Carmichael Family series. Fun tropes here: fake dating & friends-to-lovers. Brooke’s family, especially her mother, is horrible to her. In order to survive a birthday party for the only family member she gets along with - she devises a plan to get a fake boyfriend. Moss’s family maneuvers it so that he ends up filling the role.
I love that Moss & Brooke were good friends and long time coworkers before they decided to “fake date”. They are so cute together as friends that it’s easy to see the transition into more. I also love Moss’s family - his parents & brothers are a loving and fun bunch. It’s awesome to see Brooke supported by them all.
I liked that this was relatively low angst and a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to continuing the series.
Narration:
CJ Bloom and Lance Greenfield are great here. I enjoyed both of their performances.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from Home Cooked Books and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Loved!
Wonderful banter and enchanting writing make this a fun, heartwarming, steamy book. Love Brooke and Moss and the way they are with each other. Their families and friends add so much to the story.
Love the narrators, but recorded much too slowly and the voices sound slurred at 1x speed. I sped it up a lot to listen - closer to 2x speed. I wish they’d record at a more normal reading speed.

Fun and Flirty!
I really enjoyed this book. The banter between Brooke and Moss was hilarious as was the banter between Moss and brothers. I loved that there was a believable backstory for both of the main characters which added another element and explained how the characters came to be in the situationship in the first place. A full range of emotions throughout. Would definitely recommend.

Hot, flirty, sexy start to a new series
Flirt is the start of a new series where we meet the Carmichael family. This fake relationship, friends to lovers, workplace romance is the story of Moss Carmichael and Brooke Bailey.
In the eyes of her mother Brooke has always been a failure and humiliates her regularly, especially when she divorced her husband, however, Brooke is thriving. She found her dream job as an interior architect with Laguna Homes which is a family business owned by the Carmichaels. Brooke’s despicable mother is throwing a party for her beloved grandma Honey, and she does not want to go alone so she writes the perfect add for a fake boyfriend, but her best friend Jovi told her it wasn’t a good idea so changed her mind about posting it, however fate stepped in as she accidently posted it.
As a result of cunning family meddling, Moss Carmichael, Brooke’s co-worker, and good friend ends up taking on the role of her fake boyfriend. The two are pleased with the plan but as they are secretly attracted one another, it isn’t long until they begin blurring the lines, however as both are averse to relationships, how will they navigate their growing feelings of not only lust but love?
CJ Bloom and Lance Greenfield bring this amazing audiobook to life. I just love CJ’s voice, she has such a beautiful tone and she brought out the confident, accomplished, sultry sides of Brooke but also showed her vulnerabilities and self-doubt planted by her mother. Lance’s performance as Moss was sheer brilliance. He portrayed him perfectly as the protector with a vulnerable side. Also, his comedic timing was incredible. A lot of the witty banter and text exchanges are between the brothers and Lance nails it!
If you want a story that is super sweet and hysterically funny with some banging sexy times (um hello, that beach scene), gorgeous small town Kismet Beach, hilarious brothers who love to prank each other, relaxing evenings sat in a Lenai, a hunky hero putting vile mothers in their place and two friends overcoming past issues and opening themselves up to love, then look no further as Flirt will give you all of this and so much more. I freakin’ loved it!

Sweet Romance!
This is the first book in the Carmichael Family series. Moss and Brooke's story is sweet and heartwarming, filled with humor, and family drama. I loved this fake relationship / friends-to-lovers romance / office romance / push and pull relationship, and a slow burn romance. CJ Bloom and Lance Greenfield did a great job with the narration. They are perfect as Moss and Brooke. Looking forward for more in the series.

Moss & Brooke!
What is not to love about this romantic comedy? Not only funny, it's chock full of all the tropes I enjoy! Give me an office, friends to lovers, fake dating story anytime and I am a happy listener. Adriana Locke has a way of bringing her characters to life that make me feel like part of the family and I am experiencing all the feelings they are. Brooke Bailey and Moss Carmichael are best friends. Working together, they enjoy their jobs, but the chemistry between them is what makes their team so successful. Brooke finds herself in a predicament when a social media post shows up on her account requesting a fake boyfriend to suffice all the people around her. To make it work and save face, Moss steps in and the two make a plan to help each other out. And our fun begin. Talk about a fun family! The Carmichael brothers are joking around all the time, and I love the interactions they have with each other. It is also so heartwarming to be around them all, from the parents to the kids, they are all supportive and loving. Brooke comes from awful stock, except for her Grandmother whom I fell in love with! She has come far from her roots creating the person she wants to be and won't accept less from anyone else. This couple is so perfect together, and I love the push pull, the true passion and explosive chemistry they share. Love this first installment of the series and I will definitely be watching for the next one.
Lance Greenfield and CJ Bloom are one of my favorite teams. Greenfield is so good as Moss. He fits the mold of this character with a protective warmth and loving feel. His vulnerability is real and pulled me completely in. Brooke is strong and steadfast in her values, and I love how Bloom brings it all out in her. She shows Brooke to be human as she hears her mother's insults, but gives her the force to keep her sights set. I love this team, their chemistry is perfect!

Moss is my new bf and you can’t convince me otherw
I just love this book! Meet Brooke, who due to a complicated relationship she has with her mum decides to put an ad out on socials for a fake situation-ship. This eventually leads her to Moss. Oh, did I mentioned that they work for the same company, and that they are friends already? Yep, this makes the whole agreement a little more complicated.
As I alluded to in the title of this review, Moss has my heart! And I just love Brooke as well! In fact, I just loved this book so much (how many times can I say I love this book?... lol).
I haven’t read an AL book in a while, but I can definitely say this is my fav book from AL! Actually, make that one of my favourite books PERIOD!
This book had everything I was looking for. It had the banter that I needed. It was sweet, it was engaging, and I fell for all the characters (including the side characters). I also enjoyed the family dynamics of Moss’s family.
The writing style was delightful to read, and the pacing of the story was great. This friends-to-lovers, workplace romance ticked all the boxes I needed in a romance such as this.
I listened to the audio version of this book. Narrated by Lance Greenfield and CJ Bloom, both narrators did an outstanding job! The voices were great, the emotions were there, and they brought the characters to life! Loved it!

A Wonderfully Delightful RomCom & Listen🎧
I loved every minute of this fabulously delightful romantic comedy; the story drew me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire book. This is the perfect book to lose yourself in and forget everything else going on around you, it is a charming story that will put a smile on your face and leave it there. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and easy to care about and even fall for. Brooke Bailey, a lead designer for Laguna Homes, a business that specializes in renovations, is great at what she does. Despite that, and her successes, she is never good enough in the eyes of her mother. There will big party held for her beloved grandma Honey but she is dreading going home to deal with her mother, her aunt and her douchebag ex. Not wanting the complications or hassle of a relationship, she comes up with an idea of a “situation-ship”, someone to attend special events when a date is needed. She writes up a post for to share on social media but did not post it, at least she thought she didn’t. Moss Carmichael is a superintendent on her renovation team, the two work well together and make a great team. He would like to be more than coworkers but is afraid to make that move, he does not want to jeopardize what they have, and she does not want to jeopardize her job. I loved their witty banter and the shenanigans amongst his brothers were hysterical and the antics of his meddling family. Except for Honey and her cousin, her family and her ex are real pieces of work, but Moss comes through for Brooke on that front. This wonderfully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, humor and witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to the next Carmichael’s book, Maddox’s story.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Adriana Locke chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and story to life. CJ Bloom and Lance Greenfield are wonderfully talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portray, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound.CJ Bloom’s Brooke was perfection, grasping her strength and determination, Lance Greenfield nailed it as Moss, brought out all his amazing traits, including his protectiveness and funny side. Both narrators were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters and capturing all the characters’ emotions and projecting them into their performance, having you feel every single one. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease, landing the humor effortlessly. These two make a great team, they are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Book 1
I enjoyed this book. A good introduction to the characters in this series. It took me just a little bit to get into the story, but once I did, I was hooked. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book.
