Publisher's Summary

Best friends James Bowen and street cat Bob have been on a remarkable journey together. In the years since their story ended in Bob: No Ordinary Cat, James, with Bob's help, has begun to find his way in the world. Along with the adventures and the fun there have been tough times, too, but through moments of real danger and sometimes illness Bob has always been there as James' protector and guardian angel. For the Love of Bob is the incredible story of James and Bob's life-saving friendship, and the lessons James has learnt from his street-wise cat.

I LOVE BOB!!!!

Any additional comments?

This was great. It's just a shorter version of all the fun stuff that James and Bob got up to. I thought there would be some stories that I hadn't heard but I didn't care. I love these stories so much :)

Nothing New

I have enjoyed the books "A Street Cat Named Bob" and "The World According to Bob". This book is a compilation of parts of those two books directly. Had I realized that, I would not have ordered it.
I don't know how it would have been as a stand alone.

Sweet

I haven't read the book 'A street cat named bin' and was a bit disappointed when I didn't find it in audible (maybe it's just my terrible searching skills). But this book is (what I have imagined as) the story of Bob and James and it couldn't be any sweeter.

Beautiful ~

An animal lover myself who has gone through her share of difficulties, I recommend this book to anyone who has a heart. It will make it swell with the love between a man & his cat and the possibilities it opens up.

Another great book

I have enjoyed all the books about James and Bob. I was so sad to hear Bob passed away. My sympathies to James. Bob has touched so many in such a wonderful way. Thank you for sharing your story.

Pathetic story

If you could sum up For the Love of Bob in three words, what would they be?

Pathetic, lovely, striking

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Bob, he is the creator of this audiobook.

Have you listened to any of Kris Milnes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am sorry but I do not remember.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

All animal lovers like me should definitely enjoy listening to this audiobook.

Repeating alot of content from other books

Chapter 1&2 is the se at the start of The World According to Bob. Still great anyway even with that.

A little sentimental ...

... in writing style for my taste, but nevertheless a marvellous story about an astonishing feline and his man. One contradiction strikes me though; James speaks about his struggle with what he refers to as 'drugs', and how he finally left them behind, but mentions several times that he still drinks alcohol, apparently not considering it to be a drug. Given the important role which his addiction plays in this story, I think this should be made clearer: drug addiction is drug addiction, whether the drug concerned is legal and socially sanctioned or not.

Repeats previous books

This book adds nothing new to what was already written in previous books. Low rating is more for how on earth did Bob get run over? RIP Bob.
