Publisher's Summary
I disappeared on a Tuesday afternoon. I was there one minute and the next I was gone. They’ve never found my body....
It’s six in the morning during the hottest summer on record when Elizabeth O’Loughlin, out walking her dog, comes across Clare, a victim of a horrific knife attack, clinging onto life at the side of the road.
Clare dies minutes later, but not before whispering her haunting last words to Elizabeth.
When it becomes clear that Clare’s killer has more than one murder on his mind, Elizabeth has to take drastic action or face losing everything.
But what if she can’t stop a killer determined never to be forgotten?

A good tale
This is an enjoyable book, no great revelations or twists in it, but it goes along at a steady pace.

A chilling audiobook
A good listen but not enough distinction between some female character voices. The plot was good with an unexpected twist at the end.

Almost 6* book
Beautifully written, full of such emotion as was the wonderful narration. Such well developed characters that were easy to care about and again I’ll miss them. A very satisfying story. Almost as good as “Apple of my eye”.

Took my breath away!
Just when you think you know where this story is going it twists around sending you off on a different track and leaving you breathless. Real edge of the seat stuff! Fine performances from the two narrators.

uncertain about this one...
Really not sure why this book is so highly rated; for me it was really slow and only at about chapter 30 did the story start picking up. The Irish narrators voice doesn't change much for the various characters (and I had to listen on 1.25 speed). I wouldn’t describe it as a “thriller” – more a gentle suspense.
