Different narrator please

I think this would be good with a different narrator. I did have to keep going back and see which character was speaking since they all seemed to have mostly similar sound and inflections. That same reason caused my mind to wander also which kept pulling me out of the story. I found myself reaching towards my earbuds to turn my book on then realized it already was on.

I’m not saying Amy Landon is a bad narrator. I’m just saying I don’t think her style of narration fit this particular book.

Forsaken by Night

Forsaken by Larissa Ione is a short but interesting read/listen. This is book 2.5 in the Moonbound Clan series. I have had this on my kindle for some time now, but recently got the chance to read it.

This installment introduces Lobo and Teyah. Lobo is a 120-year-old vampire who is also a skin walker. He can shift into any living form, be it human or animal. A former member of the Moonbound Clan, banned for shifting into the form of another clan member. Since then he has been wandering the woods and living a lonely existence. That all changed when he rescued a wolf, that was injured and on the brink of starvation. She became his constant companion for 12 years.

What he did not know is that Teyah was no ordinary wolf.

I found Lobo to be an intriguing character. His protective nature led him to take a great risk to save Teyah’s life. A risk that would pay off in the end.

Teyah proved a fascinating character. Loyal and fiercely protective of Lobo. She showed courage in the face of danger.

Despite, this being a short read, the story packed a punch. There was sufficient romance, action and heat to keep me glued to the pages.

The fluidity of the story made it easy to follow. I loved the world building, which made me realised how much I missed this series. I curious to know if there are plans to continue the series. The good thing about this, there is no need to read the previous books prior to reading this installment.

Narration
Amy Landon narrated the story. This is my first time listening to her work and I enjoyed every moment. She did a good job with the narration. Her pace and tone fit the story well.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Overall, a good read with interesting characters.

Ongoing greatness..

True to form , book three continues the tantalizing seductive story with the excellence of the other books but shorter.

Short and Sweet

I wasn't expecting this to be quite so short, which is my only complaint. I'm not sure why this was called book 3 instead of novella 2.5 ... but it's my own fault I didn't look at the running time!

Anyway, if you' want something you can read all in one sitting and still make it to bed on time, this is a great option. :)

A real surprise! I want more Moonbound Clan !

I don’t think I have ever given a writing that is short, such a high rating. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted more but, I enjoyed the heck out of this novella. It didn’t seem incomplete, like most novellas. I actually used a credit, for this novella, which even surprised me. I normally would have never used a credit for a 3-4 hour novella. I wanted to listen to it, so much, and the price cost the credit price, so I indulged.
I don’t understand why the author didn’t write anymore books , in this series. I mean, I love the Demonica series but I want more of this series too.
IF YOU AGREE, WITH ME, ABOUT WANTING MORE MOONBOUND CLAN VAMPIRES SERIES, JOIN ME AND EMAIL THE AUTHOR TO LET HER KNOW OF YOUR INTEREST IN MORE BOOKS BEING WRITTEN, IN THIS SERIES.
IDK if it will do any good, but it could hurt, right?
