Story
John Grisham is the acknowledged master of the legal thriller. In his first collection of novellas, law is a common thread, but America’s favorite storyteller has several surprises in store. “Homecoming” takes us back to Ford County. Jake Brigance is back, but he’s not in the courtroom. In “Strawberry Moon,” we meet Cody Wallace, a young death row inmate only three hours away from execution. The “Sparring Partners” are the Malloy brothers, Kirk and Rusty, two young lawyers who inherited a once prosperous firm when its founder, their father, was sent to prison.

Go woke, go broke!
Ins listened to every Stone Barrington novel and have always enjoyed them. Unfortunately the last few are continuing to get more woke and they like to push liberal views. NO ONR cares that you love rachel maddow at all so leave that out! People enjoy your books bc they take them away from all the negative main stream media.
Also, you mispronounced the Rolex Submariner every time. The Piper (told you I’ve listened to them all) is a prop-jet and not the other way around.
Still very good as the characters nearly feel like old friends after more than a decade.
Lose the liberal indication please.

worst book from Woods
Up until the last few books, Woods was one of my favorite authors. The stories were well written, page turning and interesting. I recently bought an old book, Chiefs', to re-evaluate and the re-read was excellent. Somewhere along the line he began writing boring books filled with emphasis on Stone's extreme wealth and sleeping with every female who crosses his path, Woods has turned Stone into a pathetic character. The final failure is the narrator making all the characters sound like old men, this is my final purchase from this author,

Fun and sad listen
Stone and company are as usual which is to say they do what they do. The narrator is good with only a few missteps. The story moves along entertainingly. The sad part is a couple of the wrong people die. I kept hoping for a repeat of an event that occurred earlier. But it was not to be so. Stone being Stone extracts appropriate costs. Enjoy!

No surprises, just a cut and dry narration
Straightforward, no intrigue, everything the main character desired happened as a matter of course and was neatly resolved . The one exception was the murder of a secondary character and his dad.
