Incredible!

I was so shocked by how amazing this audio was! I cannot say enough good things about it. I wasn't aware of any of the 7 essentials before this, and now I feel more confident living with my eating disorder. Cannot recommend enough!!

Relatable

I love that the author incorporated experiments to this audiobook which I really find interesting. . . The information / story/ narration is easy to digest and most of all relatable. I am now empowered to take actions on my body goals. And I now understand that what I am going through is truly hard as every one with the same situation felt/feel the same, if they have surpassed it, I can do it too!

So relieved to have found this book!

Recovery hasn't been easy, but I feel so supported by reading this book. The author shares the wisdom and secrets that she gained during her own ED recovery, which I found not only to be extremely helpful, but also inspirational. I especially appreciated the tables, worksheets, and additional support provided in the PDF that came with the audiobook. Thank you Kara, for sharing your story! Thoughtful and effective

The author handles this very sensitive topic with sensitivity, experience, and expertise.
A holistic approach that starts with understanding your own mindset, and continues into a practical recovery program, I cannot recommend this book enough.
Building off of her life experience, this is an incredible guide to dealing with eating disorders, and includes a great pdf with worksheets and tools to go along with it.

Plenty of healthy eating tips

This book hit on every topic when it comes to healthy eating. Starting with mindset, holistic eating and my favorite gut health. As I’ve gotten older I’ve had some issues with got house and so trying to stay on top of that and keep that running as smooth as possible is very important to me.

Enjoyed this lesson also enjoyed that it came with a PDF so I could download if I wanted to.

Inspiring and very useful!

Very inspiring story from the author who going through experiences herself. I didnt understand how eating disorder could effect the mentality for long time until I listen to this book. Eating disorder recovery starts here

To me, what gives this audiobook credibility, is that the author is not only a registered nurse (RN), she also struggled with her own eating disorder for 11 years before finding healing. Now she is an eating disorder recovery coach. It’s because of her background that I felt the quality of the information shared was convincing and believable. I love her mantra, “the small steps I take each day make my recovery possible.” LISTEN to this audiobook as a small step in the right direction for your own recovery.

Eating should be a wonderful thing

My wife has an eating disorder. As a child, her uncle had to feed her until the age of 7 because she didn't like to eat nor wasn't motivated to eat. To this day, her favorite food is soup and now our son is the same way. A snack for him is an apple and a meal is some rice with vegetables which isn't bad but he is so small. Knowledge is power. I love how this book attacks a topic that some get mad about, but this is the elephant in the room. Know that you are not alone. Great read! Share with many people.

Deeper understanding of Eating Disorders

I sometimes work with women who have eating disorders, and one of my very best friends has struggled with one for years. I listened to this book so that I would be able to understand better, and therefore be a better support system to those who need. I am so glad I found this book. I always take a holistic view on healing anything, and I was pleased to see the author incorporates this thinking in this book also. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with and eating disorder, or anyone trying to educate themselves to be a better support to loved ones who are struggling.

Great content and practical advice

Having worked as a trained counsellor, I was looking at broadening my knowledge of eating disorders. I deal with a number of patients in my role as counsellor and a personal trainer where eating disorders plague people's lives. This audible looks to provide a practical guide to overcoming eating disorders and works in a logical sequence. Highly recommended.

Very helpful audiobook

Inside this book you’ll not only find help with the mental aspect of healing an Eating disorder, but the physical aspect as well. The way it addresses how to take care of your body from a nutritional standpoint makes this book stand out from other eating disorder books. There are end of chapter exercises that help you implement what’s taught in each chapter which makes this book actionable. Everything is backed by science and not just a story told. I would recommend this book to any person struggling with an eating disorder!

Well researched and hollistic

I am a firm believer that holistic ways go hand in hand with medical ways of healing yourself and staying healthy. Relatable and easy to follow!

Ive struggled with my relationship with food for as long as I can remember and I have read quite a few books on the subject, however this one was quite different, but in a good way. It was easy to follow and very relatable. You also get a free pdf download of the book with the audio book which I found massively helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a disordered relationship with food. Thank you to the author.
