Why 80 percent of expecting parents worry about the wrong things and what you really need to know...

Am I going to be a good mom? Is my child going to be healthy? I don’t feel any kicks after going to the gym. Did I hurt my baby?It doesn’t matter where you are or what you do, your thoughts constantly turn around this little wonder inside your bump.

As beautiful as pregnancy can be, it’s also a scary transition period in life, where big mental and physical changes start to happen. Unfortunately, many women don’t dare to talk about the stress they are experiencing. They let the feeling of insecurity creep up on them and ruin one of the most special experiences in a women’s life.

Yet, it’s not uncommon to feel this way. Nearly 75 percent of women reported they had experienced at least one stressful event during their pregnancy. These women have an up to 60 percent higher risk of preterm delivery.

Other risks associated with stressors during pregnancy are:

Wonderful book.

Wonderful book. We are the first time parents, still expecting and this book was recommended by a friend as a bible. I think it is a nice book that explains everything in detail and provides different options rather than just one. I would recommend this to anyone! Better buy one good book than many :)

I am glad that I learned!

Strongly recommend for lazy/busy people. I am glad that I learned about the concept of attached parenting and importance of breastfeeding. I think I will listen to the newborn part again just to recap before my baby arrives.

Everything about it is commendable.

The author of this explained it with clarity and wisdom. I just can't resist it even though I don't need it yet as my wife just 3-month pregnant. The explaining style and almost everything about it is commendable.

Buy this, it's so useful and also funny!

It covers EVERYTHING - how to swaddle, diapers, circumcision care, first aid, feeding, sleeping, etc. It's not overly wordy - it gives you the information and moves on. Listen like a car manual, which husband loves. Buy this, it's so useful and also funny!

Wanted to learn as much as I could!

As an expectant mother, I had exhausted all the info on pregnancy and wanted to learn as much as I could - while I still had some free time - on what to expect during our baby's first year.

This is a must listen!

As a soon to be a new mom control freak this was very helpful in showing me the things I can and can't control. This book put my mind at ease and it also took my mind off my morning sickness. This is a must listen during pre- and post pregnancy.

This book is awesome. It repeats things a lot but if you have horrible memory like me, then it's an excellent book to have.
