Publisher's Summary

New York Admirals captain Scott Hunter takes his pregame rituals very seriously. In this case, it's not just a lucky smoothie he's craving - it's the man who made it.

Pro hockey star Scott Hunter knows a good thing when he sees it. So, when a smoothie made by juice bar barista Kip Grady precedes Scott breaking his on-ice slump, he's desperate to recreate the magic...and to get to know the sexy, funny guy behind the counter.

Kip knew there was more to Scott's frequent visits than blended fruit, but he never let himself imagine being invited back to Scott's penthouse. Or kissed with reckless abandon, never mind touched everywhere all at once. When it happens, it's red-hot, incredible, and frequent, but also only on Scott's terms and always behind his closed apartment doors.

Scott needs Kip in his life, but with playoff season approaching, the spotlight on him is suddenly brighter than ever. He can't afford to do anything that might derail his career...like introducing the world to his boyfriend. Kip is ready to go all-in with Scott - but how much longer will he have to remain a secret?

Tor for the Score

Aural pleasure!

Rachel Reid offers a hea hockey romance. She is a new-to-me author. Wonderful story and ... hot, hot steamy scenes. Nicely done, Rachel.

Tor is fabulous. We all love his velvety baritone. The accent and character changes are so nicely done. Bravo!

MM Aural Sandwich

The story is hot enough to melt the ice in Toronto or Georgia. ;)

Tor Thom's narration is amazing. Subtle but clear voice changes. That voice... wow! I would be the puck between these two players.

Wow! Hot Read! Stunning performance

I love sports romance and I loved this book. Bravo to Rachel for a hawt(!) story. Tor... wow. Speechless. That voice should come with a warning: NSFW. Thank you for a pleasant read, sir! ;)

Sexy Story. Delicious narration.

Fun romance story. The outcome was predictable, but the journey there was wonderful. The narrator... Wow. That voice is amazing. Bravo, Tor Thom. You can read to me anytime. ;)

Really bad narrator choice

I've loved the book and have reread it several times, but the narrator was not the best choice for this book. I only got about 10min in before I gave up because that voice did not fit the character at all. It's a shame, 'cause I was really looking forward to listening to this book but I guess I'll just stay with the ebook.

Phenomenal Audiobook!

Rachel Reid! I love the story. Few writers can write hockey well. Rachel is phenomenal.

The narration is on point. Tor's voice will make a man or woman blush. Listen and enjoy.

Worst accent

I enjoyed the story but I almost didn’t finish the book because of the narrator’s horrible attempt at a Brooklyn accent.

Narrator is wrong.

I didn't get very far with this. The voice of Kip is totally wrong and I found myself cringing when I listened to it.
I've read the book and really enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to the audio version, but sadly this was not the right narrator for this project.

Awful Narrator

I struggled for a couple of hours listening to the narration. The character Kip's voice is distracting and comes across as boring and thick. I'm sure the story is good but can't listen to the end.

Kip's accent.........

I mostly enjoyed listening to Game Changer - the storyline was enjoyable, and the 2 main characters were both very likeable. I did mostly enjoy the narrator's performance, except for Kip's accent, I ended up speeding up the narration due to the accent, all other parts (when Kip wasn't speaking) were fine to listen to. I would rate the overall performance of narration at 4 stars, Kip's accent around 2 stars.

A winning m/m hockey romance!

Closeted hockey captain of the NY Admirals, Scott Hunter is off his game until he meets juice bar barista, Kip Grady. Whereas Scott is hugely successful, Kip feels like he’s drifting. If they can make their secret relationship work, it will be a game changer for both of them. Although this followed the well-worn script of most m/m sports romances, there is a strong emphasis on Kip’s struggles to go back into the closet that sets it apart. Scott and Kip are well-drawn characters and there were enough appearances of other characters to avoid a claustrophobic focus on the two leads. The final scenes (no spoilers) really captured the moods of the competing teams perfectly. Audio narrator, Tor Thom has a pleasant soothing baritone. He voiced all characters well except for Kip, whose Brooklyn accent sounded stoned and weird; however, it wasn’t a deal breaker.
