Story
We've all had experiences with two dramatically different types of leaders. The first type drain intelligence, energy, and capability from the people around them and always need to be the smartest people in the room. These are the idea killers, the energy sappers, the diminishers of talent and commitment. On the other side of the spectrum are leaders who use their intelligence to amplify the smarts and capabilities of the people around them.

Acuff knows the reason why many writers' novels go unfinished - it's the same reason why gyms are filled in the first week of January and empty by the end of the month and why people stop learning a new language once they get past the easy parts. It's not just that people lose momentum or get distracted. People give up on projects when they fail to live up to their own high expectations and decide that if they can't do something perfectly, they won't do it at all. If you're going to finish, you have to kill perfectionism.

In this concise and brilliant work, he looks to the most influential position in management - the executive. The measure of the executive, Drucker reminds us, is the ability to "get the right things done". This usually involves doing what other people have overlooked as well as avoiding what is unproductive.

Among Americans, diabetes is more prevalent today than ever. Obesity is at epidemic proportions; nearly 10% of children are thought to have nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. And sugar is at the root of these, and other, critical, society-wide, health-related problems. With his signature command of both science and straight talk, Gary Taubes delves into Americans' history with sugar: its uses as a preservative, as an additive in cigarettes, the contemporary overuse of high-fructose corn syrup.

The latest groundbreaking tome from Tim Ferriss, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek. For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

Publisher's Summary
The best-selling author of Head Strong and The Bulletproof Diet answers the question, “How can I kick more ass at life?” by culling the wisdom of world-class thought leaders, maverick scientists, and disruptive entrepreneurs to provide proven techniques for becoming happier, healthier, and smarter.
When Dave Asprey started his Bulletproof Radio podcast more than five years ago, he sought out influencers in an array of disciplines, from biochemists toiling in unknown laboratories to business leaders changing the world to mediation masters discovering inner peace. His guests were some of the top performing humans in the world, people who had changed their areas of study or even pioneered entirely new fields. Dave wanted to know: What did they have in common? What mattered most to them? What made them so successful - and what made them tick? At the end of each interview, Dave asked the same question: “What are your top three recommendations for people who want to perform better at being human?”
After performing a statistical analysis of the answers, he found that the wisdom gleaned from these highly successful people could be distilled into three main objectives: finding ways to become smarter, faster, and happier. Game Changers is the culmination of Dave’s years-long immersion in these conversations, offering 46 science-backed, high performance “laws” that are a virtual playbook for how to get better at life.
With anecdotes from game changers like Dr. Daniel Amen, Gabby Bernstein, Dr. David Perlmutter, Arianna Huffington, Esther Perel, and Tim Ferris as well as examples from Dave’s own life, Game Changers offers listeners practical advice they can put into action to reap immediate rewards. From taming fear and anxiety to making better decisions, establishing high-performance habits, and practicing gratitude and mindfulness, Dave brings together the wisdom of today’s game-changers to help everyone kick more ass at life.

Game Changers is game changing
I don't write many reviews, but, I read a lot, I listen to audiobooks when I'm not reading. I was compelled to write this review. Dave's book is a gift to those who are on a journey to become better, more efficient, creative humans beyond who they already are! Dave not only dives into the science behind every life-bio-hack, but, has proven they work by self testing everything he recommends. And, although, I've had a few chuckles at his expense over how he's had such bad luck growing up within toxic environments, inability to be a normal kid (it's mean I know), but, it's almost impossible to imagine him that way considering who he's become and how accomplished he is. I've tried a number of different supplements, diets etc to get my energy levels up, my thinking process to be more focused and very little has worked. Dave's roadmap is life altering. Not only am I more energized, but, I'm excited about a more profound life journey because of this book. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to grow, manage health, optimize and become the best of who you can possibly be and become! Good luck! 🙏🏽

This book is a “no brainer”
I have read a couple of Dave’s Books and this is the one I recommend most frequently as it goes wide rather than deep and gives the reader a wealth of information. The laws presented herein are data driven recommendations for becoming a better version of yourself and are easily incorporated into everyday life. If more people took it upon themselves to proactively improve rather than relying on traditional medicine we would live happier, healthier, and longer. This book is a great starting point to get yourself on the right path.

Ego And Intelligence
I listen to the Dave Asprey Podcast regularly and if I had to sum up Dave's "Brand" it's a mixture of self help, ego, salesmanship, and intelligence. I enjoyed the book thoroughly. One part of the book I found funny is towards that end where he talks about where the correlation between happiness and money peaks at $75,000. Also, he touts minimalism and not material stuff as a life philosophy. I applaud these points in the book, but this is coming from a guy the plugs his products whenever he gets the chance during the Podcast. Also, how can you be minimalist and be a biohacker? He lives on an island, has a farm, takes tons of supplements, flying constantly, buys lots of bio hacking products and equipment, etc. How much further can you get from a minimalist lifestyle and also one that can be achieved at $75,000 per year income? I mean the cost of '40 Years Of Zen' alone is $15,000 according to a quick internet search. Anyway, those are some critiques, but I really did enjoy the book. It's a book that I think anyone can get something positive from. I do think by him talking about health improvement techniques he's popularizing them, encouraging competition, and eventually lowering the cost.

Absolutely incredible and life changing book!
This book is a true game changer! This is right up there with the greatest books of all time in terms of study and life changing positive impact, at least for me and I am convinced for everyone else that chooses to read it. Just based on what I have gotten out of this book, and will continue to be getting out of it as I implement more and more of these laws / lessons with future study, it's worth its weight in gold and more. I have placed this book among the top 5 books for me. It's to share the spotlight with the likes of Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill, How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie, As a man thinkers by James Allen, and the Bible. All books worth reading, re-reading, and continuing to reread with committed study.

One of my all time favorite books so far...
This is one of the most recommended and talked about books for me in a long time. It’s the only book I felt compelled to send to the CEO of my company along with a recommendation and questions about which of the ideas in the book the CEO already practices. I read this back to back with three other amazing books and it still stands out the most. The other three were Homo Deus, Cosmosapiens, and How to Change the Mind. Dave did a great job with this! I also wear True Dark glasses and drink Bullet Proof coffee but not just because of this book. I would like to reach 178 years old just to see if Dave’s estimation of his own life span comes true.
