Publisher's Summary

In a future where privacy is gone, an internet innocent gets auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Eighteen-year-old Blanca has lived a sheltered life. Her entire childhood has been spent at Tabula Rasa School where she's been protected from the internet. Blanca has never been online and doesn't even know how to text. Her lack of a virtual footprint has made her extremely valuable, and upon graduation, Blanca - and those like her - are sold to the highest bidders.

Blanca is purchased by Cal McNeal, who uses her to achieve personal gain. But the McNeals are soon horrified by just how obedient and non-defiant Blanca is. All those mind-numbing years locked away from society have made her mind almost impenetrable. By the time Blanca is ready to think for herself, she is trapped. Her only chance of escape is to go online.

very entertaining and unique

First, I love Katie Schorr as a narrator. This is my 3rd book read by her and I've loved each performance. The story was different than I thought it would be based on the blurb written about it. There was a few swear words, like 2 or 3 and zero graphic intimate scenes. If you're avoiding that then you're safe with this book.

Don’t miss out on this book!

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt it necessary to write one for this book because the books description doesn’t do it justice. I almost didn’t read this book because of the garbage description but I’m really glad I did. It’s a great story, narration is spot on. You won’t be sorry.

Bad writing, worse narration

I would be able to get past the horrible narration if the book was worthwhile. However, it is poorly written so it's a double whammy. If it wasn't for the fact that the book was a freebie, i'd demand my credit/money back. Guess you get what you pay for.

Interesting but HORRIBLY written

If you are over the age of 20, or have any experience with writing, you will cringe at some of the prose in this book. Story is unique; the potential is lost on the poor writing.

Unexpected gem

The description for this book are very misleading, the story was very engaging and captured my interest immediately. The narrator does a great job conveying emotion and different characters. Would strongly recommend! Definitely a 5 star all the way around.

Listen to this book!

I almost did not listen to this one because of the pretty terrible description. It is so interesting and unique, though! I’m already listening to book two. Sort of reminds me a bit of a mix of Handmaid’s Tale, the Matrix, and something else all its own.

How does this not have any ratings?!

I really enjoyed this book! The only let down was one plot point was left unanswered but hoping this will be resolved in the second book which I will be starting now 😁
