Awful!

It seems like the narrator is racing to get through as many phrases as possible. He doesn't break the phrases down, there is no repetition, and there really isn't enough time to repeat his phrases. If you're trying to learn German, then the Paul Nobel audio courses will serve you better. I already took 2 of them, but I wanted to try something new and get a different perspective. I only used this book for roughly 15 minutes when I couldn't handle it anymore. I want my money back.

So Much Helpful

There's a lot of helpful information on this guide. I'm not ready to comfortably walk the streets of Berlin yet, but it makes a good reference for German language learning.

Excellent Addition

Excellent addition to the two years of German I took in College. A variety of topics are covered that touch on a wide range of vocabulary and practical expressions useful in a broad spectrum of situations.

I Suggest It

I would also suggest All-Audio German (listen to it as much as you can, to perfect your pronunciation, you'll be glad you did). I also bought the English-German dictionary...for my Palm - this is an ABSOLUTE MUST if you are going to be going to Germany and you are serious about getting more fluent.

Excellent Summary For Language Learning

Excellent summary of German language elements. A small amount of explanation along with a list of words and phrases. I've used this book and found it's a great study aid for beginners.

Awesome Way To Learn German

There are many dialogues on practical subjects, performed by native speakers of course, and read very fast for the most part, so it should be great for comprehension at conversational speed. However, it would be helpful to have it done once at a slower speed so as to be sure of correct pronunciation.

Good Source

If you are learning German this is not bad and reasonably useful. I have used a lot of different learn German programs and they all have their good points. This one is as good as any.

EXACTLY what I want

A great guide, much more than just a simple phrasebook, and a great choice. Mine's been enormously helpful, and there's nothing about it I would change.

A detailed guide

A lot of the translations are straight to the point, with chapters dedicated to different things such as counting, yen conversions, traveling, hotels and ryokans, idle conversations, and so much more. I will happily recommend this book to anyone who enjoys learning or needs a quick lesson in German.
