Book 2 of the next great Fantasy LitRPG Series by Seth Ring, author of Nova Terra. Get your copy today and explore a world whose secrets have been buried under decades of war.

About the Series: Mixing slice-of-life with epic fantasy action, mystery, magic, cultivation, and a broken game system that seems determined to make everything as hard as possible for the already overpowered protagonist, this LitRPG/GameLit series is perfect for those who enjoy exploring rich worlds and complex characters.

That was a close one

Man out MC really does like to play it close to the best doesn’t he and I mean that in many ways. He may be finally getting a clue about someone’s feelings but man this guy has been at war way to long and reallly does need some peace and quite. Too bad the world has other plans.

Amazing book 2, we get a lot of John's past and why is called the eternal flame and i might have shed some tears when he read the innkeeper letter and that prologue just left me wanting for more

Great story but can be a little frustrating.

A great way of hampering a OP Main Character, Doom points do kind of irritate me every time they're mentioned. Like I understand they're the authors shackles on the MC but we all know they're never gonna reach 100 until exactly when the author wants them too so it falls a bit flat. The biggest problem is the constant updates taking the listener/reader out of the fight with the constant +1 update messages. Also, The -1 doom points for heartwarming parts seems to be gone for this book. In the last book he got regular -1's for living a regular life and getting closer to Elly, But the author seems to have axed that, as in the first part of the book a month and a half go by on the farm with no -1's. I've given up on the doom points as being anything other then a gimmick purely controlled by the authors whims. Other then that I can't think of anything I was upset with so a great read overall. I do wonder if the next book is gonna have Elly get targeted by the big bad and running from someone during the climax as well.

Awsome, awsome. Great story, Great narration.

Doom points ruin story

Doom points seem interesting, but unnecessary in the first book. Now, they just hamper the story. They don't add to it, and they don't follow a set rule. Moments that should have reduced Doom points are ignored. Barely uses his mana and instant doom point. I assumed it had something to do with his humanity, if he got to 100 he would be the apocalypse since no one else triggers such effect. "OP" MC is nerfed way too hard for a fantasy setting.

All done

This series is dropped

It's gotten too ridiculous with the doom points and John not proactive and eliminating his enemies and waiting for Doom points to go up. The last battle he could have saved a dozen lives if he just was proactive. On another topic why does John even care if he fails the quest, he was forced summoned to a random world that didn't really care about him, a world that forced him to fight, so why should he care?

An Good Sequel

The original book was amazing combining a western story arc with fantasy litrpg, felt like a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western. This one was a continuation of the same howevwr it felt like the western waned to the fantaay atuff. The focus is mainly on Elle and her class and personal character growth and a literal journey they take.

Fefunitely coming back for more suspense and answers too What is the Infinitum Door? What are the origins of the class system? Will John acrue the Doom Points to cause the Apocalypse or will he complete enough quests to lower the risk? What will happen with the elusive Empress mage who is the only surviving earthling mage other than John?

excellent story

this is for the first two books, good story line. It keeps moving along and keeps you interested. LitRPG elements without endless system building or constant character sheets.
Now we just need 3 more books

It's so refreshing to have an intelligent MC

The book really shines when we contrast John's godlike power with mundane farming tasks. The interpersonal interactions are enjoyable and the game mechanics enhance an already enjoyable emotional journey.

At the same time, John's near invulnerability removes a lot of the tension. As a result, the combat sequences can feel vacuous at times with even the side characters commenting that the MC will be fine no matter what.

Overall this is a solid sequel, if you liked the first book, you'll probably like this one too.

Do I really like it? Is it is it wicked...

Germination by @SethRing. This author is a master of his craft. He delivers vivid & fanciful amounts of imagination starting from a mere fire-wielding mage to a full dragon-breath-wielding cultivator. The levelling-up system is more subtle and that is good. 📚5/5🌟#bookreview

Great Second Book in the series!

I really enjoyed the continuation of this series. The story is a good mix of peace, adventure and violence.
The narrator nailed the voices from the first book.
I really enjoyed this story, looking forward to the next one.
