Helped me the most!

I can help but listen to this over and over. it's as if she really "gets me". and I am not an artist! Not in the sense that she is talking about, but every word is helpful in some way. of all the self development books I've listened to, I got the most out of this one.

Very good ideas for the busy person

I have been practicing Time Management techniques for several years, yet I wanted to get to the next level. This book helped me do that. It has a collection of well described and well reasoned techniques that helped me to "Get it Done".

Going to read or listen to this again

Sam narrates this audiobook in an effective way. She's realistic, clear and to the point in getting it done. What I love about this book is that it centers itself around creative people. I'm a composer, but also have a full-time tech job, and a family that keeps me busy. I found her methods apply directly to me, as simple as sitting down for 15 minutes and DOING it! I also love her take on perfection, and you will too. I highly recommend this book for those who are striving for the balance in their life.

THE perfect book for an artist!

What did you love best about Get It Done?

I love Sam's ability to get her points across with humor and ease.

What other book might you compare Get It Done to and why?

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert...but in THIS book, Sam gives you easy, actionable steps that get you closer to connecting with your spirit and artistry without fear.

Have you listened to any of Sam Bennett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. But I would like to listen to more!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I wasn't able to completely, but did it in two days.

Any additional comments?

Sam's accessible and matter-of-fact delivery gave me the inspiration to step into my next dream and hone it down to a one-task-at-a-time project! Thanks, Sam!

So much more than just getting it done.

I really enjoyed this book...it was actually way more than just tips and tricks to get stuff done. It was inspiring and engaging...and I got a lot out of it. I already want to listen to it again so that I can absorb the information even more the second time around.

Simply Wonderful, does what it says it will and mo

What made the experience of listening to Get It Done the most enjoyable?

This book is good not only for creatives, but anyone who needs to learn a little bit of "be gentle with thyself" kindness! I listened to the whole thing twice, and will randomly listen to bits when I need a cheer up! That being said, it's ESPECIALLY good if you're a creative procrastinator!

What does Sam Bennett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sam Bennett's the author and reader, I like to think this means we hear it "how it was meant to be heard"

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Write down the compliments you receive!

Any additional comments?

Simply lovely! Great "feel good" self help book!

A Must Read for Creatives

This book was beautifully written from beginning to end. I have read many books on this topic, however this was the only one that spoke to my soul. Thank you, Sam Bennett.

Doesn't deliver what it claims

Struggled to get only halfway through this. After a while, there were so many repetitions of the same point in more or less the same words.

Quite often, the examples used sounds like the whole book is targeted specifically for younger, females working in the creative industry. And only them.

There's even a part where the author drones on with an exhausting list of possible daily activities. Instead of delivering the point in 10 or even 20 seconds, that "list" is clearly there for an unnecessary and incessant dramatic effect which goes on for several annoying minutes.

If you want a book that can help you do what the title of this book claims, look elsewhere.

A great guide to how to stop stopping yourself

I found this book very helpful . I have read many self help books and stopped half way through but with this title i bought the book as an aide memoire to the audible book. I found her through a chance viewing of a video clip and have been hooked ever since. I even bought a journal for my excercises etc and refer to it often, The weekly review task I complete each sunday.
This book has a lot of helpful suggestions and Sam really gets people and the way they think act and work.
