Nope

Driving a car is not an automatic activity that a person can do while concentrating on something else. Doing that could get you or other innocent people killed or maimed. Throwing away your children's toys while they are away to avoid drama as this book says to do is a serious boundary violation and could turn them into hoarders or worse. This book has time honored time management ideas that can be gotten from better sources mixed in with really bad advice. Saying that this book is not worth the time to read is too nice. Following the ideas in this book could do harm to you those around you.

Great for beginners only

If this is the first time you’re seeking ways to improve your organization and productivity, this is a very good summary of all the most common advice and could be a good way to learn what ideas resonate with you for inspire further exploration.

However, if the terms/concepts of GTD, spark joy, pomodoro, SMART goals, eat the frog, just say no, stay hydrated, eat healthier, exercise more, sleep more, meditate, “just” reduce distractions, “just” ask your boss to let you telework, “just” turn off your email, “just” schedule it on your calendar, etc. are all too familiar, don’t waste your time. There are no new ideas or new applications of concepts here - none at all.

Well Organized book about getting organized

This is a well put together audiobook. I needed a little motivation to reset. I'll probably relisten at some point in the future. The pace was much too slow for me so I recommend listening about 1.4x speed.

Aside: I was shocked at a one-star review saying this recommends damaging techniques and poor boundaries. Use common sense. You can listen to something and drive. The author doesn't recommend texting while driving or throwing out prized possessions of your children.

A good little book of practical advice

I would definitely recommend this book as a first read for anyone interested in the subject. It is beautifully narrated, clear, concise, to the point, structured build-up and rather practical and pragmatic. You may find nothing new if you have already read-up on this subject, as is my case. It has a good layout, which is easy to go back to as a reference book/reminder.

Learn some new techniques

I’ve heard great things about The Great Courses series and I’m always open minded about organizational tips. I learned some new things from Ciara’s lectures, which if I may say loved how they were broken up in. Also one technique I remember using a long time ago, Pomodoro technique, is one I had forgotten. Need to revisit that one, now that my life has taken a different path since I used it last at my full time job. Great book, good listen.

not everything will work for everyone, this book is aimed at primarily white collar professionals, being blue collar myself only part of this book can be adapted for my life, still a good read though I would recommend

Some great points

This was a good book which had some great examples and techniques but nothing groundbreaking, but it definately reaffirmed that my techniques were on the right track.

Worth it

You’ve heard most of these tips million times before, but it’s always good to hear it again because you likely forgot all the good the effects of things you don’t do :)
There are some great tips I didn’t know before too, it’s easy listening and well structured, give it a go if you you struggle with life.

Really clear and actionable pointers

It's not rocket science but sometimes a practical guide is helpful. The tips and ideas for organisation are very clear and easily actionable.

Worthwhile

A really good book which I enjoyed greatly, a little repetitive towards the end but only as it reenforces the main points. Useful guidance and definitely one I’ll be referring on an ongoing basis

A nice introduction

A nice summary and introduction of other deeper books such as Atomic Habits, Getting Things Done, and to a lesser external 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Perfect if you’re new to the topic or just want a reminder

Extremely Thorough. You Won't Find Better.

As an audiobook it's basically a seminar that's delivered perfectly and doesn't attempt to be funny.
Contains just about every tip imaginable so you are bound to learn something in addition to what you were looking for.
Also contains several walkthroughs.
Flawless work here, well done by the Audible team and Ciara Conion.

I absolutely loved this course. It included everything from how to organise your work to how to organise your every day life. It is a summary of many techniques that have been proven to work for organisation.
