Publisher's Summary

Travis Bennett is exactly the kind of guy Lauren Davis has been avoiding for the past nine years. Religiously. Stubbornly. Successfully. She knows too well how easy it is to let lust ruin perfectly laid plans. And a small-town farmer with no ambitions beyond the borders of his own cornfield is not going to change her mind. She's got important stuff to do. Her company is literally working to stop world hunger. Her plans are much bigger than Sapphire Falls. No matter how hot those farmers might be.

The problem is - Lauren is falling in love. With Sapphire Falls. To kick her sudden desire to buy a welcome mat and start baking pies, she asks Travis to help her get over her crush. She wants him to show her what life in the small town is really like behind all the sweetness and sunshine and remind her that there's no place for French manicures and Gucci heels on the farm.

Travis has everything he wants or needs - a quiet, simple life in his hometown, a successful farm, and his friends and family all around. A hoity-toity city chick who looks down on everything from the local coffee to his favorite music is the last girl he wants sticking around. So he agrees to her crazy plan. He can definitely show her the less than glitzy, rough around the edges side of Sapphire Falls. In fact things just might get downright dirty.

You should know that this book contains a hot country boy who talks like a country boy (yep, all the bad words), a sassy city girl who also talks like a country boy sometimes, sexy scenes that don't leave much to the imagination, references to bisexuality, references to many facets of small-town living, and a lot of dirt...of all kinds.

it was oky

This book was a slow starter that picked up in the middle and then slow down again. Worth wrist listening to if you're reading the whole series but otherwise probably OK to skip

Getting Dirty never looked more fun!

OMG! I love Erin Nicholas books. She is an amazing author. She takes you out of the book and puts you in hrt characters heads. She allows you to feel all the feels. She captivates my heart with every story she writes. Sapphire Falls is an amazing town. I want to live there. I love everything about this town. The festivities and the people are amazing. I love the togetherness. Travis and Lauren are perfectly matched. They have an undeniable chemistry. I love watching them overcome their struggles. I didn't want this story to end. I loved being able to hear this story on Audio. The narrator has a clear voice. Actually very soothing. I was able to drive as I listened and that was amazing. I had no bnb problem keeping up. I am hooked on Audible. I love audiobooks. I mean if you don't have time to sit and open a book then why not audiobooks. That way you still get your book. Perfection in the story Getting Dirty. The plot was phenomenal easy to understand and easy to to keep up. Especially with audiobooks because it keeps your place. Audiobooks are my new and phenomenal way to read a book.

Disappointed

This was not a very good book in my opinion. The only reason I listened to the whole thing was hoping it would get better. Not sure why it won a lot of awards for best seller.

I wish it were shorter

I really wanted to love this one but it was so repetitive and went nowhere for most of the book. I kept waiting for it to pick up but it just doesn’t. I like the concept and the narrator but half the book could have been removed and we wouldn’t have missed anything important

Great Stories

I’m loving the stories in this series. If there was one constructive criticism that I would make; it’s that I just wish they were narrated by a male and female.

Unappealing Novel at all cost!

The Narrators of this novel from start to finish made this novel unappealing. I only finished it due to the fact I wanted to know how it would end. Not a novel I would recommend or even share with a friend!

Heavy on the getting light on the dirty

I’m all for slow burn but this was like an extreme slow burn olympics first place winner. The first chapter just repeats over and over and the story never truly escalates to be worthy of the title. The FMC is a BITCH she’s nasty to her friends and to the MMC Travis. I know romance novels aren’t meant to be realistic love stories but this is so far from fathomable or desirable. Who would put up with such a horrible person. Don’t hold your breath for fire-y love scenes or a good ol boy romancing or a complete character lifestyle change. The narrator was average. Overall if your looking for background noise or an easy to follow story this is it because if you pay attention to the first three “pages” then you’ve basically heard the whole book!

Perfect meeting of opposites

Really enjoyed how the main characters were presented and how their relationship and personalities clashed, until they didn’t. Great build-up for the relationship you know is coming. You can’t wait until they just stop fighting the inevitable.
Thought Kate Udall did a great job giving individual personality to each character’s voice throughout the story.
