Story
Do clothes make the man? Jacob Marks cuts an impressive figure in his tailored suits, but Victor Bayne is another story. Nowadays, Vic does his ghosthunting in off-the-rack blazers, polyester blend slacks and cop shoes with nonskid soles. But back before he was a PsyCop - or even officially psychic - he rocked combat boots and a beat up biker jacket, and lots and lots of punk T-shirts. When he finds a faded tee in the back of a drawer, he's eager to lob it in the trash.

Story
Though I was born with the ability to see the dead, I struggled with it until my brother was killed and his ghost was left behind. Now, I’m determined to figure out who is responsible for his death…the problem is that Detective Maddox Booker, the one working the case, is a grumpy and stubborn man who wants nothing to do with me and definitely doesn’t believe in ghosts. It doesn’t help that I keep finding myself looking ridiculous in front of the detective, thanks to interfering ghosts who enjoy laughing at my expense.

My whole life, I’ve been taught to despise shifters. So when I’m hired to track two escaped convicts, I’m suddenly thrust into the world I hate - or thought I did. Yet I’m inexplicably drawn to the alpha of the pack, whose land the convicts may be hiding on. He’s different than any shifter I've ever met - laidback and quick to laugh, caring, and protective. As secrets are revealed, I start to wonder if everything I’ve been raised to believe was a lie, though it may not matter, because it seems like someone wants us dead.

Smart men never dabble with demons. I never claimed to be smart, but at least, I’m powerful enough to control them. When I bound Havoc to me nearly 300 years ago, I never realized how difficult he’d make my life, although “accidentally” lighting him on fire every now and then does bring a smile to my face. Havoc is handsome, mysterious, and somehow, my closest companion, even if we don’t always get along.

Publisher's Summary
For the past dozen years, Victor Bayne has solved numerous murders by interrogating witnesses only he can see - dead witnesses. But when his best friend Lisa goes missing from the sunny California campus of PsyTrain, the last thing he wants to find there is her spirit.
Disappearing without a trace in a school full of psychics? That's some trick. But somehow both Lisa and her roommate have vanished into thin air. A group of fanatics called Five Faith has been sniffing around, and Lisa's email is compromised.
Time is running out, and with no ghosts to cross-examine, Vic can't afford to turn down any offers of help. An old enemy can provide an innovative way to track Vic's missing friend, and he enters into an uneasy alliance - even though its ultimate cost will ensnare him in a debt he may never manage to settle.

Must Read Series!
This was another excellent addition to this series.. We get to see Victor gain a few abilities and the return of the GhosTV as they attempt to figure out what is going on with Lisa.
As usual the plot is crazy twisty and hard to put down. The men are crazy hot and I can't help but love Victor's wittiness while panting over Jacob's hotness and the way he cares for Victor.
Gomez does an excellent job of narrating once again bringing live to the already great book written by Ms Price.
Can't wait for more of these characters especially after the little surprise we get at the end!!!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Inked Rainbow Reads.

Very entertaning book
This book was unsurprisingly good. I had such a great time listening to Victor and the mysteries he had to solve in this instalment. He’s such a charismatic character. I loved everything about him.
The mystery is the most important part of the story. I did miss a little bit of the romance I love between Jacob and Victor but I love the way their relationship is going. They seem so comfortable with each other. I also enjoy the secondary characters who are always very entertaining. One of the things I like the most, not just about this book but every book in the series, is the humorous tone it take at times.
The narration is great. I’m not really a person who likes audiobooks that much, but I start the series in audio and now I don’t want to switch to ebook because I feel so captivated by the way the narrator tells the story. It is so easy to understand the change of characters. I do have an issue listening to it because English is not my main language and there are times when I missed some important things but that’s on me, the story is really well narrated and overall very enjoyable.

Interesting...
This book is part of a series and I have not read any of the other previous books. With that said, I am not sure that this is a stand alone book because much of the primary character's angst centered on past experiences and the story did not explain much of what happened in the past, other than it was not good. I think I would be better served going back and starting from #1 in order to get the full gist of the story. That said, I did enjoy this book and I liked it for the most part. The paranormal genre can certainly draw one in. Though I was a bit lost of some of the history of the intertwining characters, I enjoyed the basics of the story and the dynamics between the two lead characters. I will be curious to see where the next chapter takes them...but first, back to the beginning! Additionally, the narrator did an excellent job distinguishing the characters and added to the story.

good
I swear this series is getting better as it goes. The books are also getting longer, which I appreciate. Though, I have to admit, once you get this far into a series, there's not a lot left to review. I like the characters and the series in general. Otherwise, I wouldn't keep reading. Here I enjoyed seeing Vic become progressively more competent, Jacob become more of a help-mate, and getting to know the enigmatic bad guy who might not be so bad after all. I'm off to listen to the next one.

More entertaining than watching your (ghost)TV!
I've listened to other Psycop books read by Gomez Pugh, and I'm always ridiculously pleased with them. He is probably the best matched narrator I've ever found for an audio book... He does every character's voice perfectly, but his Vic is so spot on that I now hear Gomez's voice when I'm reading the books! Outstanding.

GhosTV- That's the Spirit
I am always so pumped when a PsyCop novel/audiobook comes out. I've been waiting for this one with baited breath as it is the longest in the series and I could listen to Gomez Pugh all day...and night. I even warmed to Dreyfuss; as sleazy as he is. The characterizations were on point and Victor and Jacob remain my favorite m/m couple evah. Still, I wanted more Crash and Ms. Mattie as well as more of Jacob's family. Already can't wait to get the next one. Thanks Jordan and Gomez 👍🏽👏🏽🌈

Hugely entertaining and absorbing!
This was completely absorbing! Victor develops even more powers as he uses one of the ghost TVs to search for a missing friend. Victor and Jacob are great characters and I really enjoyed the humour of Victor’s continual frustration with those around him. I also love that we haven’t reached the limits of his psychic powers. Gomez Pugh continues to perfectly capture the lovely mix of Victor’s self-doubt and PTSD reactions, with his courage and tough-guy attitude.
