Publisher's Summary

A Native American working on his PhD. A cop blinded in the line of duty. A chic resort's only hope to stop a killer cold in his tracks.

Once a land of Pueblo dwellers, the town of San Geronimo Peak, New Mexico, is prime ski country. PI Howard Moon Deer and ex-cop Jack Wilder are headed there to meet their first client - a former US senator and the ski slope's owner. Instead, they find his body - and a murder case to solve.

Overrun with pleasure-seekers, plunderers, and fanatics, San Geronimo has no shortage of suspects. But investigating the senator's two very different daughters, his political enemies, and his complex business dealings leads only to false clues.

Then the senator's granddaughter is kidnapped - and the new detectives are plunged into a dangerous race for a little girl's life...and for their own.

Good grief!

I have read and re-read both Tony's and Anne Hillerman's Navajo detective series featuring Leaphorn, Chee, and Manuelito. I love those books. I am such a fan of those stories that I own them in hardback and on Audible. So when Audible recommended Ghost Dancer by Robert Westbrook, I bought it on Audible for listening. I wish that I had not. It is trash. I will never waste my money on another of Westbrook's books. Period.

bad

Matter of fact, using tired sex in vain effort to gain traction. I wasted a credit.

Disappointing

I have been a member of Audible for over a decade and this is the worst book I have purchased. I am not a political person and I listen to Audible’s books for entertainment. Sadly this book is written to push a political opinion and view. It was disguised as a mystery novel. I wanted to listen to a good mystery not be lectured on politics.

Terrible! Awful! Worst book ever!

Bad enough that he used one of Hillerman's titles he also used character names. It starts out ok but just goes downhill from there. Ridiculous. What abortion Dr. would take their 5 year old to work with them past chanting protesters?

I Loved it

Heartwarming and interesting with a mystery. This will keeps the reader wondering what's gonna happen next and who is the killer. Well worth sharing and look forward to finding more from this author.

Tiresome..

I read fiction for enjoyment. I don't enjoy political opinion and snarky stereotyping. This will be the last book I read by Robert Westbrook.

... I had to take notes to keep up

loved the narration and the storyline, but there were just so many players that I frankly got lost... which probably says something more about me than the book, but I'm just sayin'....
