Publisher's Summary

She was brainwashed into believing she could save mankind.
Now, she’s the one who needs saving.

Abandoned with his two younger brothers, Milo Vega was placed in foster care. Now a 20-year-old high-school senior covered in gang tattoos and working as the school’s janitor, he is living a life vastly different from the one he was destined for.

When another foster joins the family, this one from the psychiatric facility, Milo’s skeptical. A rare genetic condition makes her unlike any girl he’s ever seen, and he wants nothing to do with the one he calls Ghostgirl.

Despite his reluctance, his protective instincts flare when she enrolls in school, and eventually, an unlikely friendship grows between them. When a tragic event snaps her fragile psyche, Milo is faced with the possibility of never seeing her again.

Unless he risks it all to save her.

I’m in

I’m so in. This series hooked me from its completely unique storyline to its equally unique characters. I had a hard time turning it off and since both books were released on the same day, I don’t have to wait to start book 2. Score!

Thom Rivera was a show stopper with his performance. The characters all had unique voices and accurately reflected what the author described them as. He went from an American accent to a Mexican to a British with such fluidity that I was in awe.

Katie Schorr was also the perfect choice, reflecting the perfect Ghostgirl with her youthful and innocent sounding voice.

This is a 5 star for me, all around!!

Wow, mind blowing....

This story blew my mind. I always knew that things like this happened but never really thought about it until now.
Ghostgirl is one of the best stories I've listened to. It kept my attention. I laughed, I screamed and I cried. All the good feels a book should have.
This book is def worth the listen!!

Enjoyable listen

I’m a big fan of JB Salsbury’s books. It’s got younger characters and a slightly different reader audience to the author’s other books, and it has a bit too much high school drama for some people I imagine. That being said, it’s a great book and well written. I hear the second book is even better so I look forward to listening to it.
