Publisher's Summary

When Craig Cooper and Walker Hayes met, Walker was an alcoholic atheist reeling from the backlash of a failed music career. Through their unlikely friendship, Craig’s life demonstrated the love of Christ in a way that shattered Walker’s misconceptions of Christianity, ultimately leading him down the path to a dramatic conversion. The two are now close as brothers, choosing to be next-door neighbors, and ripped out the fence between their homes as a testament to the power of the gospel to break down barriers and unite people together in Christ.

Glad You’re Here helps us discover how building relationships, sacrificing for the good of others, and drawing near in times of need can lead to powerful transformation. Through story and biblical reflections, Glad You’re Here helps listeners see how God works in the everyday lives of those who love him.

Inspiring for all ages!!

I have never written a book review, but on this occasion I can’t help but take the time to say… READ THE BOOK.
I have 5 kids, ages 14-6. I started playing this book on Audio during a road trip with all the kiddos in the car. I kid you not, it was totally silent… the kids loved it. They made me replay parts that they missed, each time we jumped in the car the request was to “play that book”. My teenage daughter asked if we could play it for her friends… that deserves a fist pump!!
Honestly, I loved the story. Loved the simplicity of authentic relationship and the power that “being real and available” has on humanity. I love hearing/reading stories of God’s ability to transform lives… what an incredible Father we serve. Thank you for your vulnerability is sharing your stories- lives young and old- will be blessed by your faithfulness in writing.

A MUST READ for ALL

Hands down the best book I’ve read in a very long time. It gives you all the feels and shares a side of two people who authentically open up and embrace your own shame.

Inspiring and Refreshing

I could not stop listening and finished this book in one day. It gives hope for those who have friends and loved ones who still need to fall in love with Jesus. This book demonstrates the power of love both from God and people.

wonderful in-depth testimonies

I loved the openness and details offered by both authors to show their lives, their need for Christ and His loving pursuit of them, though through very different backgrounds. The way God intertwined the 2 families is such a beautiful example of the fact that God made people to be in community. The aim is for us all to be a redeemed, eternal family.

Inspiring story of faith and friendship

Hearing the story of Walker and Craig’s families and friendship, as well as Walker’s journey from an alcoholic atheist to a Christian who wants to use his fame to draw others to Jesus is amazing. I love that they both served as narrators and it is evident how much care went into writing this. I don’t love a lot of Christian books because they border on preachy and out of touch with the struggles of real people, but there was none of that here. I will absolutely be recommending this book to others as well.
