Fantastic!

I am not even sure what prompted me to buy this book, I was looking for a mystery novel. I came across this with no reviews, I listened to the sample, which Jessie's voice is very easy to listen to and understand. I decided to get it, and I have had so many Ah-ha moments with this! She delivers scientific information in an understandable way. I could now understand why I felt so tired after eating, and not even a big lunch. I have been food conscious for a while, but did not realize the scientific results on my cells and the effect blood sugar was having on how I felt.

I am so happy I bought this. I just got it yesterday, and have almost finished it. The information is delivered in a concise, pleasant and most of all, understandable way. She has a great voice, Sometimes narrations are harsh and hard to listen to. For me, once I understand something, it makes it so much easier to put into action. Thank Jessie for a sharing your research and practice. Probably one of the best audible book buying decisions I have made.

As the tittle says: life changing

I've been waiting for this book, and it was even better than I thought. Everybody should read this!!!
She delivers invaluable scientific information in a way everyone can understand.
I found the glucose goddess instagram acount a couple of months ago and have applied the hacks to my life since. Pretty great stuff has happened:
1. I am 28 years old and found out I had high blood pressure when I was 23. Im a doctor and when I found out I did everything that was recommended to improve the condition: lost weight through a restrictive diet, limited my salt intake, increased my physical activity, followed the DASH diet. I was on a healthy weight and still was on 2 meds to control my BP. Since incorporating the hacks, and a few other stuff (I've also read a lot about the microbiota and have been eating in a way that takes into account my microbes) my BP has dropped to 90/60 mm/Hg without medication.
2. I've lost 7 pounds without any restrictions and without trying to, as my main concern about flattening my glucose curve was to be healthier and I was already in a healthy weight. I think that no one should have weight as the drive for change, and this book and her hacks are all about the not- diet life style: just the science of nutrition used in our favor.
3. This year I was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, and since my last improvement of habits, my response to the meds have been excelent. My main goal of keeping a flatter glucose curve is to avoid more inflamation in my body, hoping to eventually come off the chronic leukemia meds too.

As a doctor, I knew about the importance of glucose disregulation as a drive of disease and I was already convinced that our main habits (eat, movement and rest) are whats really important in preventing them, but Jessie puts the vast nutrition science into a practical synthesis that everyone can apply today to improve their lifes. I loved the book, everyone should read and also follow the glucose goddess <3 I tell my patients about the account all the time and it has helped them too.

Great book and practical science to apply to your life

This book was a easy-to-read book that utilizes summarized scientific information to easily apply profound fundamentals of healthy eating into your life. Great guide and really nice voice to listen to. Thank you for all the hard work it took to make this book!

Practical tips - love it!

I've read about the dangers of high blood sugar before (Why we get sick by Benjamin Bikman PhD for example) and Jessie confirms it all. What I absolutely LOVE are the practical tips on how to keep the glucose curve low and therefore feel better. It's not always possible to avoid sugar and processed food even though we should, and with Jessie's hacks life and health becomes much more manageable! Thank you Jessie!

This information was so helpful and explains the bodies relationship with food! I most definitely am going to use the tools given in this book!

Some Studies are Weak

I have a continuing glucose monitor and the hacks do work for me. It’s just the fact I don’t get convinced by the scientific proof presented.
