Publisher's Summary

God is with you in the desert.

Bishop T.D. Jakes gives you proof positive that God not only supplies you with everything you need, but your heavenly father wants to bless you with refreshing water that will sustain you throughout any wilderness experience.

According to Bishop Jakes, "Spiritually we must find a place where the Lord can minister to us in our wilderness - a place where He can instruct us about what to do next. The wilderness is a place of dying, where all the things that cause you to stumble in your walk with God are killed."

"Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert." (Isaiah 35:6)

Find your special place in the wilderness where God will drench you in his life-giving water - you will break forth with a renewed and courageous spirit!

Good book horrible narrator

I wanted to hear this book, but the narrator is horrible. It sounded like he was sucking on candy. His reading was choppy. I am disappointed.

A good book that needs audio editing.

This is a good and informative book. The TD Jakes has clearly taken time to research and carefully write what is on his heart. There is much wisdom and insight found here. The problem is the narrator. Though he has a lovely voice, the producers did not bother to edit Paul Richardson’s umms, and uhhh and stumbles throughout the book. At times it sounds as if Mr. Richardson has just taken a gulp of water and is trying to catch his breath. It’s extremely distracting and takes away from the blessings that are clearly written herein.

Avoid the Audio version

This book was well written, but due to the narration on the audio, I was close to returning it for a refund.

The audible version was extremely disappointing and even shocking. There are a multitude of verbal errors, noticeable swallowing and extended pauses between sentences, apparent inhales, subtle sounds in the background, taps on his keyboard, and more. (After the first hour, I decided to increase the speed to 2.0 to get through it.)

It’s hard to believe the narrator, Paul Richardson, didn’t respect the listeners enough to do retakes and perform proper editing.

Surely, TD Jakes would never permit his work to be displayed this way.

Narrator is horrible. Good book

If given the chance I would narrate this book for FREE. Bishop Jakes deserves so much better. There is no way a man of his quality and attention to detail would have chosen this narrator or allow all of the mistakes, slip ups, and unnecessary pauses. Audible how could you allow this! It is very hard to follow. This is information and revelation that is needed. I cannot share this book because the narration is terrible. Again, please let me redo this to honor Bishop Jakes.
