Publisher's Summary

As far as flings go, single dad Gabe Trahan is pretty sure that Addison Sloan is his best bet. Once a month, Addison comes to New Orleans and then…It. Is. On. Until Addison returns to New York, it’s just hot, happily-no-strings-attached sex. And beignets. And jazz. But lately for Gabe, it isn’t nearly enough.

Sure, maybe Addison’s gotten a bit hooked on Gabe. After all, who can resist a guy who’s so sexy, so charming, and so…available? But maybe he’s too available for her right now. Addison’s just moved to New Orleans, and relationships are definitely off the table. Besides, guys always bail when they learn her secret: she’s a single mom.

Only Gabe’s not running. Worse, he’s thrilled. But Addison never signed up for ever-after romance, and Gabe won’t settle for anything less. Now it’s a battle of wills - and when it comes to the woman he’s falling for, Gabe isn’t above playing a little dirty.

Can a One-Night Stand Be Something More?

Gabe and Addison’s story continues in Going Down Easy. In the beginning there were fireworks during the one-night fling, when Addison came to town for work. Only it turns out that it was not just one weekend. Every time Addison comes to town she hooks up with Gabe. But she doesn’t want a relationship.

Elena has been talking to Gabe and Logan about restoring their historical tavern for several months. They finally decided to go forward with the project. When Gabe goes to the Elena’s office, he runs into Addison. It is her first day at her new job in New Orleans. She’s no longer in New York. Can this be the start of something more for them? Gabe wants that, but Addison is leery that anyone would stick around for her. She has a secret; she has a 5 year-old daughter. Turns out that Gabe also has a secret of his own.

Addison does not really have a support system for her family. Gabe has a strong support system in raising his son. I loved the interaction of the kids and their parents. I really enjoyed the single parents support group and their meetings. They offer great advice as Gabe and Addison work towards an HEA.

Great narration by Ryan West.

My Thoughts on Going Down Easy

I'm a sucker for a single parent romance. And this was that times two. Gabe and Addison were both single parents to five year olds. They had been "seeing each other" for months before sharing that information with each other. And that's really where the story took off. After the kids revelation. I really liked how they had different parenting styles and support systems but how they both brought such great things to the table. I enjoyed the way parenting issues arose and the way it was resolved. The development of the relationship as a couple and as parents was truly well done. And it was perfectly narrated by Ryan West. I absolutely loved this story and can't wait to read more.

3 stars

This was my first book by this author. While it was just ok, it didn't have that extra spark in a romance and I didn't really connect with the main characters. Ryan was a good choice for narrator.

it takes two

Gabe and Addison couldn't be more real without jumping off the page. Erin Nicholas spun a web that pulled me in and transported me. This story of two single parents wading through life and looking for that shining star is absolutely phenomenal. Ryan West, no words can describe the emotions he poured into this book and into me.

🥰 awww

This was really cute. So on point for single parenting. My youngest is over 30 now and I was a single parent since she was 3. It was hard but worth it.
Not a fast moving angst ridden story. Well narrated and written. A nice change of pace from alien mates, motorcycles, mafia, sports/rock star…

Love this author and narrator

I found Erin Nicholas not too long ago and I am LOVING her audiobooks! This was an excellent single parent romance. The storyline is great with likable characters. My heart ached through the hard times, but I smiled through so much more of the story. I loved all the characters. I look forward to the next book!

(Editing to add that I'm so disappointed that the other books aren't available through the Kindle listening program. These are worth the credit if you have any available!)

Ryan West is a new to me narrator. His performance was perfection! His voice for all the male and female characters were easy to listen to with his smooth voice. I was impressed.

*I listened to this audiobook through the Kindle Unlimited program.

Lots of Kid Talk ❤️🐊🔦💙

Even though this is a romance between Gabe and Addison, it’s also a story of building a relationship with kids an creating a forever family.

I liked how hot they were, and how determined Gabe was to build more. Set in New Orleans, it had a fun cast of characters.

There is A LOT of development with the kids, so that can be tiresome, but it was fun to watch these two single parents adjust their lives to accommodate two more very different people into each other’s lives.

The narrator does a good job. Easy to listen to.

Fun and Delicious!

I really really enjoyed this book!

This is a sort of dual point of view book (as in they switch back and forth a bit in each chapter instead of solidly having a chapter to each character.

This was a refreshing twist for me ❤️

The story was wonderful! A fling turned real with a twist lol

Single parents and fun family members! I could go on and on lol

Ryan West did the New Orleans drawl all different levels. He managed to have a distinct twist on it/his voice for Gabe/Logan (brothers) and Sawyer ( the swamp boat tour operator) it was so fun!

He is definitely going on my list of narrators I enjoy!

Sweet romance

I love those southern boys! I really like how the author I corporates real struggles of single parenting into the story line, with realistic solutions to them as well. Great series starter and look forward to listening to the next book. Ryan does an excellent job with the narrative and bringing this story to life!

Enjoyed

As I had listened to the Boys of the Bayou series and Gabe was in that I wanted to know more about him. I really enjoyed listening to this and the struggles Gabe went through to convince Addison to be with him. The relationship between Cooper and Stella was so sweet I loved the way Stells protected Cooper .
