War in Cuba isn't Ben Tyler's concern. Still, sailing mares and guns into Havana harbor in 1898 - right past the submerged wreckage of the U.S. battleship Maine - may not be the smartest thing the recently prison-sprung horse wrangler ever did. Neither is shooting one of the local Guardia, though the pompous peacock deserved it. Now Tyler's sitting tight in a vermin-infested Cuban stockade waiting to face a firing squad....

A STORY AS ONLY ELMORE LEONARD COULD TELL IT
What did you love best about Gold Coast?
The characters were typical Elmore Lenorad people - the underbelly of society. they're funny, clever and always ready to con a con.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Gold Coast?
The entire story was memorable. Elmore Leonard had "the gift."
Have you listened to any of Frank Muller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I enjoyed so many stories narrated by Frank Muller. He did narrations for John Grisham, Stephen King, Elmore Leonard and many others. All his performances were great. He was the best of the best.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
the end. The whole story was great and then - the end. It just hung there.

Just Perfect!
I confess I have never met an Elmore Leonard book that I didn't love. This one has risen to the top of my list. It is the perfect marriage of Frank and Elmore...born to make this story come to life in only the way that they can. If I were trying to get some unaware soul to listen to a book that could change their approach the way that they inhale literature, this would be the book. How I miss them both and wish that they were still with us to give us more of these great gifts. Frank Muller just has this amazing ability to capture you and lose yourself in the story, recognizing each and every character, as he reads. I loved this one!
