Publisher's Summary

Three years ago, Alec McClane and Raegan Devereaux lived every parent's worst nightmare: their one-year-old daughter, Emma, was abducted from a park when Alec turned his back for just a moment. Emma was never found, and presumed dead. The crushing trauma, plus Alec's unbearable guilt, ended the couple's marriage.

Now a four-year-old girl matching Emma's profile is found wandering a local park. Alec and Raegan are heartbroken to discover she's not their daughter but are newly motivated to find closure...and each secretly feels desperate to be in the other's presence again.

Alec suspects his vengeful biological father is behind Emma's disappearance. But as Raegan investigates other abductions in the area, she sees a pattern - and begins to wonder if Emma's kidnapping is actually linked to something more sinister.

As Alec and Raegan race to uncover the truth, a long-burning spark rekindles into smoldering passion, and they realize they need each other now more than ever.

Loved it

Great mystery. Decent amount of romance without detracting from the mail story line. Will read more by this author.

This narrator was fantastic

She flowed through the characters with ease and sounded very realistic. The story was good as shown by my rating but I wanted to address the narrator because they can really make or break an audio book for me.

Great twist

Torture parents, abductions, sadistical villains and overcoming terrible obstacles, all in a day's work.....truly enjoyed the book and narrator.

Overall a good listen

I enjoyed the story for the most part, as it was fairly entertaining, but the sex scenes were cringeworthy!

Mostly a Romance novel

So much repetitive body-touching, thoughts of desire for the other...over and over, repetitive, I say. Very little storyline, not a mystery really.

Nice 2nd chance romance...with some suspense

4yrs ago. Alec McLane and Regan Deveraux had their lives torn apart when their toddler daughter was stolen. 3 yrs ago, they divorced. Now, when an abducted girl is found, Regan believes that their daughter may still be alive. As Alec and Regan begin an investigation into missing children in the Portland area, all signs lead to something more sinister...and it involves Alec’s estranged father. Very emotional story that’s very well written and keeps you wandering what’s next.

hmmm

Could have been great but focused too much on a 'love' story. wasn't what I was expecting but if you like that kind of thing then overall it's not bad.
