Publisher's Summary

"This is a beach listen with a youthful feel narrated by two pros who deliver."-AudioFile on The Good Girl Complex

Full of romance, hijinks, and longing, Good Girl Complex is Elle Kennedy at her very best.

She does everything right. So what could go wrong?

Mackenzie “Mac” Cabot is a people pleaser. Her demanding parents. Her prep school friends. Her long-time boyfriend. It’s exhausting, really, always following the rules. Unlike most twenty-year-olds, all she really wants to do is focus on growing her internet business, but first she must get a college degree at her parents’ insistence. That means moving to the beachside town of Avalon Bay, a community made up of locals and the wealthy students of Garnet College.

Mac’s had plenty of practice suppressing her wilder impulses, but when she meets local bad boy Cooper Hartley, that ability is suddenly tested. Cooper is rough around the edges. Raw. Candid. A threat to her ordered existence. Their friendship soon becomes the realest thing in her life.

Despite his disdain for the trust-fund kids he sees coming and going from his town, Cooper soon realizes Mac isn’t just another rich clone and falls for her. Hard. But as Mac finally starts feeling accepted by Cooper and his friends, the secret he’s been keeping from her threatens the only place she’s ever felt at home.

If you love Elle Kennedy…skip this one

Not worth a credit. Lots of unnecessary angst, and the story really dragged on. I typically fly through her books but I struggled to finish. Characters are annoying and don’t have many redeeming or compelling traits

Fantastic Surprise

I listened to this for Joe Arden. I literally searched for books narrated by him and then the title and cover intrigued me. The synopsis made me think “hey, this could be ok”. I think I’ll like anything he does, but this one really surprised me.

It was a good story. It was good writing. Even if I could predict the overall plot, there were enough twists and turns and random things thrown in there to keep me engaged. Plus, it was funny.

Also, I LOVED that HE was not a random millionaire - it was refreshing since most of what I’ve read lately includes a male lead who is a gazillionaire.

I would definitely recommend.

Cute Predictable Story

Cute story of opposites attract. Liked the main Characters but ending felt a short. I didn't believe the ex or her parents would just walk away without a dirty fight though. Joe Arden is perfect as always. Swoon.

After knockoff

Pretty disappointed in this book. I love Elle Kennedy, but this just wasn’t the same. It didn’t take long to realize that this was essentially the same plot as After. There just wasn’t the humor that I was hoping for as in the Deal and briar u series. Not my favorite, but I still listened through it.

To show this girl she didn’t waste her heart on me”

I loved this book. I couldn’t stop listening, but the ending definitely snuck up on me. I feel like we got a great ending, but I need more. I hope this becomes a series or at least follows some of the other friends in the group so we get more of their stories!

Good Story

Although there are mixed reviews on this one I enjoyed it. The narration was good, I mean Joe Arden and Ava Erickson of course it would be. I could see how easily this could be a series with lots of interesting characters having there own backstory.

Amazing !!!!!

I honestly didn’t see this book going in the direction it did. I fell in love after the first chapter. She is amazing at romance and getting emotions from her characters. You should definitely listen to the book. It was really hard to put it down.❤️ I love all of her books

What happened to heroines like Hannah in The Deal?

Enjoy stories where the women have backbone’s.
The heroine in this story is so passive. The supposed good guy is a jerk who agrees to a bet that would probably damage an innocent girl.
So disappointed! Looked forward to this book so much!
