They say time heals all wounds, but it's been five years since my boyfriend died, and I haven't dated since. I threw myself into architecture, and thankfully, there's just no time to wallow or look for love. My friends push me to get back out there, but I'm not ready to be vulnerable again. Then I meet Kev. He dresses like a catalog model, but he talks like he's got an old soul. He shows me what I'm missing but holds his own heart just out of reach. I can't stop falling for him, and he might be worth taking a risk for. Can I believe in myself enough to win his trust and his heart?

Though I was born with the ability to see the dead, I struggled with it until my brother was killed and his ghost was left behind. Now, I’m determined to figure out who is responsible for his death…the problem is that Detective Maddox Booker, the one working the case, is a grumpy and stubborn man who wants nothing to do with me and definitely doesn’t believe in ghosts. It doesn’t help that I keep finding myself looking ridiculous in front of the detective, thanks to interfering ghosts who enjoy laughing at my expense.

Publisher's Summary
Zoo vet Blane Winters' grumpy attitude and muscles hide a romantic heart. He only relaxes when he's around animals, since he likes them more than people. He has some friends, a good job, and a place of his own, and he's sure that's all he needs. Until he meets a certain incessantly cheerful artist.
Studying meerkats as he paints a wedding present for his sister gives Falcon Harper the perfect excuse to creep on the hot vet. It takes his mind off the dreaded event. He’s happy for his sister, but his secret ex will be at the wedding...Spencer, who broke his heart years ago.
The solution is obvious: Blane can be Falcon's plus-one and show Spencer that Falcon’s moved on to bigger, better things all these years later. But feelings grow as Falcon coaxes Blane out of his shell. Just as happiness seems within their grasp, jealousy threatens to tear it away for good.
Grasp is a stand-alone gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

I miss the Significant Brothers
How can you not love a book that starts out with a scene that includes a baby sloth??? Falcon and Blaine have a chance encounter at the zoo where Blaine is a vet and Falcon decides to paint the meerkats for his sister's wedding. I really enjoyed listening to these two become friends and then fall for each other. It was so much fun to revisit the Significant Brothers and I can not wait for the others to be released on Audio.

So good!
Blane and Falcon’s book. The second in the Significant Brothers series. So good! Listened to it in one sitting. Between the fantastic words written by E. Davies and the narration by Greg Boudreaux, I happily listened to it. I highly recommend it. It can be read/ listened to alone, but you will hear about characters from the first book.

A Sweet Low-angst romance
Grumpy zoo vet Blain and preternaturally happy artist Falcon make a sweet couple. They're different enough to add tension to their fledgling relationship. A little misunderstanding and a pinch of self-doubt add conflict and make this a sweet, low-angst romance. It's well written with realistic dialogue. Falcon's sister's wedding scene is a little heart wrenching and a touch funny, and totally believable. I was not at all impressed with the narrator. His pace and diction were good, but he lacked real inflection, sometimes making sentences mean something else because of poor inflection. It didn't really throw me out of the story, but it was still confusing sometimes. All in all, a it was a nice read.

So the vet became the artist’s muse
Ah, I just have a soft spot for guys who know how to take care and love animals. So it was no wonder that I loved our protagonist Blane who is a zoo vet.
Blane has been looking for love forever and he might be the only guy on the planet who’s using Grindr to find love. And Falcon is a bit of a goofball but so sweet and charming. Painting animals at the zoo created a perfect meet-cute for these guys and Blane becoming Falcon’s plus-one for his sister’s wedding is the icing on the cake. Next step should be their own wedding.
Sweet, sultry, charming and enjoyable. All the things I like about E. Davies novels and Greg’s narration was to die for. Can’t recommend enough!

A very delightful, truly entertaining audiobook!
Blain loves his veterinarian job at the Knoxville zoo. Falcon is a handsome happy go lucky Artist, that just happens to be sketching the meerkats at the zoo when he notices the extremely hunky eye candy standing in front of him! Blain and Falcon both feel the instant connection but of course they think it’s one sided. Oh but it doesn’t take them long before they realize just how perfectly they fit into each other’s life. I love how strong their connection is without any doubts including Falcons unfinished business with his scumbag ex boyfriend. Falcons very outspoken Aunt Vera was a absolute delight and always gave such good advice! “Always test drive before you take it home for good!” (my favorite)
I definitely recommend this audiobook as a deliciously hot, very enjoyable story! I also enjoyed listening to narrator Greg Boudreaux as he brought all these delightful characters to life!

Grumpy veterinarian and sunny artist
In Grasp, Blane is a grumpy veterinarian and Falcon is a sunny artist. I loved this character combo! They meet at the zoo where Blane works and the flirting begins. One of the aspects that I enjoyed in the book was that they are both very much wanting a real relationship with someone, not just physical hook-ups. There is a little baggage that needs to be worked through, but there is very low angst. And if you like the fake boyfriend trope, there is some of that mixed in as well.
The narration is by a single person covering dual POV, which can be a challenge and was a little confusing at times. However, I liked the narrator's voice work for the characters and found listening to the book enjoyable. I think this can easily be listened to as a stand-alone.
I would definitely recommend listening to Grasp (I am loving finding out when the book title plays into the story in this series) as a sweet story with very little angst, but a lot of heat

Amazing narration paired with a great story
This is the second book in the Significant Brothers series and I will admit that I loved the first one, so the bar was set pretty high. This book did not disappoint. Our couple in this one is Significant Brother Blane, the hot zoo vet, and Falcon, the artist he meets at the zoo where Falcon is working on a painting of meerkats as a wedding present for his sister. Blane and Falcon are multi-dimensional characters that work really well together. They are both awkward in different ways and are adorable together. It’s really enjoyable seeing how their relationship unfolds and their love develops in a very authentic way. This book is definitely less angsty than Book 1 although in some respects a bit more contrived. One of the primary drivers of the plot here is Falcon’s ex, Spencer. Spencer’s vacillation on his feelings for Falcon (past and present) and on the status of his relationship with Falcon is a bit extreme which undercuts its plausibility. Nevertheless, it doesn’t detract too much from the story which is altogether sweet, sexy and heartwarming.
Now add in Greg Boudreaux’s narration, which is next level. It’s unbelievable how he embodies these characters with totally distinct voices and his vocalizing is not just words: it’s the words + the description of how they are said + the emotion behind it all rolled into one. The pacing is spot on. Diction is clear and concise. The tone is perfect and the audio as a whole is pristine. I would definitely read and listen to this one again and look forward to the rest of the books in the series.

Blane and Falcon
Blane and Falcon made a marvelous couple. Their connection is quick but deep enough to hold them through the small rough patch. I loved that Blane instantly knew that what he found wasn't fitting with Falcon's character and I loved, even more, when Falcon went straight to fix things. These two acted like grownups and actually talked about their issues. Flacon's family was hilarious, especially his Aunt Vera.

The vet and the artist
I love this whole series! These books are so good and full of happiness and love. They make a great escape and are enjoyable reads. I think this one and the first one Splinter are my favorites in the series. It doesn't hurt that I live in East TN and my family has spent many fun hours at the Knoxville Zoo! Blaine and Falcon are great characters and I love the whole idea of a group of guys who form their own family bond. And Greg Boudreaux is a good narrator. Very easy to listen to. Highly recommended!

an adorable romance with very little angst
Blane and Falcon made such an adorable couple, and I loved listening to their sweet romance unfold. From their awkward meet-cute at the zoo to agreeing to be fake boyfriends for a wedding, these two took me on such a fun journey. I've listened to a couple other audios in this series, and I have to say that this narrator has been doing an outstanding job with the widely expanding cast of characters. It's always easy for me to tell who's who, and I find his narration style very engaging. In terms of the storyline, I can't say there was anything particularly unexpected here, but I have such a soft spot for a good fake-boyfriends-to-lovers story. There's something so sweet about two men who start out as strangers doing each other a favor and end up realizing how compatible they truly are. I would say the majority of this book is a feel-good story with very little angst, and even at the end when Blane's workplace has some issues, it's never anything that messes with his relationship with Falcon.

sweet with heart
another sweet romance with great characters, a bit of a lack of communication but it all works out in the end. I would have like more consequences for Falcon's ex Spencer and his slandering jealousy but I also get why he was passed over ones things get resolved as he's just not important. I loved the connection these two had and their chemistry is off the charts! I'm definitely looking forward to more if the Significant Brothers 😍

Favorite author and performer combination
I adore the combination of E. Davies and Greg Boudreaux and nothing about this book changes that opinion. Blane and Falcon were delightful to get to know and to listen to and Davies' enjoyment of the tropes of romance fiction shines through as always. Here, we have the fake boyfriend trope in all its glory and with two characters who are clearly perfect for each other but for various reasons resist admitting that fully to themselves or to those around them. It is amazing how Greg Boudreaux can capture that dual nature of the characters feelings in his vocal performance. You hear their resistance to admitting how they feel, but you also hear their sneaky little voices inside getting more and more insistent that they should go for it. As always, Davies has great villains and Spencer here gets a satisfying comeuppance as our two guys learn that past betrayals and current jealousies don't hold any power over you when you have love and support all around you.

Great addition to the series!
Grasp is book 2 in the Significant Brothers series but can be read as a standalone with no problem. Greg Boudreaux did his normal fantastic job with this story; he doesn't just read a book, he performs it. He does great, distinctive voices for each of the characters.
I loved both of the main characters right from the get-go. I enjoyed the setting of a zoo for much of the story. The MCs seemed to be smitten with each other right off the bat and that came through in E Davies writing and Greg's performance.
I hope to continue on with this series.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Fake Relationship, Real love!
4.5 Stars. I absolutely loved this! It’s a fake relationship story, but in name only because those men were so smitten the entire time it was ridiculous (and ridiculously amazing). It’s super sweet and fluffy, but not lacking in substance because of it. Plenty of good steamy scenes (with a good build up to them), and lots of light hearted humor. Definitely has me even more geared up for the rest of the series

Read these books a while ago so it was lovely to be able to listen to them.
The Significant Brothers are a group of school friends who are still in contact and meet up for monthly drinks, their group is expanding because of Significant others are now joining them.
That is apart from Blane, a Vet at the local zoo, he likes animals more than people these days and apparently that was showing on dates.
Falcon, an artist, who's sister is getting married and wants a painting from him, he decides that a painting of animals might be the best way to go, so he heads to the zoo and starts at the Meerkats exhibition. He's not looking forward to his sisters wedding as she had invited his secret ex to the wedding and was not looking forward to seeing spencer after he'd broken his heart.
This is a slow burn romance, that starts as fake boyfriends, the passion is there from the start but the dreaded ex tries to break them up and then creates problems, I wont give away any more than that. But rest assured we get our HEA.
A great read, the narrator was good and clear.

Charming & Romantic, A+ for Boudreaux
E. Davies' Significant Brothers series continues with Grasp.
My heart went out to Blane from the opening scene. Looking for a long term, serious boyfriend through Grindr hookups must be seriously frustrating, and he's such a sweetie, he deserves a bf who can give him what he wants.
Falcon is a little bit of a goof, but his heart is in the right place and Blane's steadying influence makes them a great match.
Yes, it's insta-love, but these guys are so ripe for it, it's a case of right guy, right time so it works for this couple.
E. Davies includes some charming scenes at the zoo, which I was looking forward to from the moment I found out one of the significant brothers was a vet at the local zoo. There are also some scenes involving Falcon's skeevie ex which adds a nice bit of drama to the tale.
Beautifully performed by Greg Boudreaux, his warm, sultry voice is perfect for this cast. I also enjoyed Mr. Boudreaux's southern belle accent for Blane's boss.
I can hardly wait to find out which one of the significant brothers' tale is next!

this was amazing! I finished it in a day, I couldn't stop listening. It was such a sweet book and it warmed my heart. I loved the characters. The dialogue was fantastic! So beautifully written. And the plot and the pacing were also really good. I can't wait to listen more books in the series, all the characters are so interesting
