Publisher's Summary

Once, I wished I was more.

Stronger.

Faster.

Smarter.

Braver.

And then one night, I was forced to become all those things.

I pulled the trigger and changed my life forever.

Now I’m an assassin for a Queen Pin, and together, we are taking the cartel world by storm.

Sex, drugs, and secrets surrounds us like smoke. The DEA is breathing down our neck, and a rival cartel is threatening to destroy us.

But I didn’t come this far to be intimidated or pushed around.

Not by the DEA or the Rayas cartel. I didn’t shift my entire universe so some cocky, sweet-talkin’ recruit can get in my pants, either.

Those days are over. I’m not that easy anymore.

Tate may be sexy, deadly, and dangerous - his tongue his most lethal weapon - but my body and my heart just aren’t on the table. I won’t let another man derail my life, no matter how drawn or attracted I am to him. Or how much I hate seeing him with another woman.

The only thing I have left to offer is death.

They call me La Tiburona - the shark. And I’m not afraid to show you just how deep I can sink my teeth.

SORRY.. I JUST DIDN'T FEEL THE LOVE

When a new book comes out by one of my favourite authors you bet I’m going to ‘one click’ it, sit back and look forward to the author’s journey.. and I wish I could say I loved this listen, but sadly I just can’t. Right from the start, the hard as nails badass Dove rejects the handsome hero Tate who is the new recruit in the Cartel where she is second in command. So, despite being in love with Dove and saying he’ll wait, Tate starts-up a sexual relationship with another woman. However, it isn’t just with any woman, it‘s right in front of her with Stefania - Dove’s friend and the Leader of the Deltoro Cartel. And Stefania is using Tate because she herself is in love with Marco who is the rival Cartel Leader but she can’t have him. Dove gets jealous and something finally brings Tate into her bed.. but what about Stefania?.. what about Marco?.. and what about Tate’s sneaky big secret.

Worth a credit? For me personally, sadly this time it’s a no. It had a good start, but Dove’s cold, icy and heartless demeanour didn’t warm me to her. Plus, I thought there was a lack of chemistry, the ‘other woman’ relationship felt shitty by both parties and (for me) it just didn’t have the usual depth of M. Never’s usual heartfelt, layered and emotional love stories. There’s drama and action in the end.. but it came too late for me to recover my interest by then. The duet-style dual POV narration was just “meh” ok.. and I did wonder if my opinions on the book would been different if it’d been narrated by the talented Jacob Morgan and Muffy Newton who did the previous books in the series.. or just maybe, they didn’t like the story either.

Not my favorite

I love books by M. Never however, this one was not my favorite. The storyline was going great until the main male starts hooking up with the main female's best friend just to spite her (more than once for a better part of the book). The best friend claims she does it for her friend's own good but it's obviously a punishment. Not my favorite plot twist....

Had so much potential!

Ghost face killer was the best. I had hopes for this 3rd book in the series. There was not much of a story line or anything. Also, why change the best narrators you used for Ghost face killer? That was your fist mistake. Muffy Newton and Jacob Morgan are the best in the business and worth the money!

An action packed, unpredictable love story.

Wowzers, yet another fantastic book from M. She is all about the feisty women and Dove is no exception. I love that she rose from the ashes so to speak and then deals some deadly blows as the fiery woman she grows into. This book is full of plot twists and wait…what moments! I loved this fast paced, action filled, drug cartel, female assassin romance story.

I have to be honest here, I wasn’t in love with the male narrator. I’m not sure he was a great fit for Tate but the female narrator was on point and made up for her male counterpart. This is a duet narration book, which I am growing to love more and more and even though the male narrator wasn’t a great fit for me it didn’t distract from the story. You may find if you speed it up a little, that that helps, otherwise just go back to basics and eyeball read. It’s a story you don’t want to miss out on.

A book full of the mob, feisty females, action, suspense, secrets and hot hot lovin’. This is a great third book in the female assassins series. Grab it now and get sucked into M’s captivating writing.
