Publisher's Summary

Blade of Purity contains two linked tales of the Grey Knights:

Incorruptible - Grey Knights Justicar Styer and his squad are assigned to locate a lost Grey Knights vessel, the Purifier ship Blade of Purity. Boarding the ship, they find evidence of battle and possible Chaos corruption. Has the impossible happened and Purifiers have fallen to the thrall of the Ruinous Powers? Or is something else stalking the halls of the Blade of Purity?

True Name - Departing from the Sanctus Reach after their ill-fated battle with the daemon Ku'gath Plaguefather, the Grey Knights encounter their nemesis again as they enter the warp. As the battle becomes one between Gared and Ku'gath himself, it falls to the Librarian to save his brothers - and his soul.

A rip off

When I saw war hammer had put out some books I got this one right away. I paid good money for it and only got a few hrs. The story just gets started and then it’s over. You pay for a hole book and get 1/2 of chapter one.

Sound Effects Make This Nearly Unbearable

I'm a Grey Knight player and fan, and the story is alright, but the sound effects in the background are distracting to the point of almost making this impossible to get through. Not sure why this 40K book has the sound effects because I've listened to nearly a dozen and none of them have this problem.. which is too bad...

Spiritual Truth

The second chapter is by far the best part of this book, it so clearly defines the conflict of how the devil tries to attack us with our past, but the greater Truth is that through Christ we are born again! We die with Christ so that we may be raised back to life holy, blameless, and above reproach!

I really appreciate the voice actors, they brought this story together, and gave it even more weight. The story’s were a great introduction to anyone interested in the grey knights, with enough action to keep the listener interested, and enough introspection to add to the Warhammer 40,000 world. And with each chapter only being about thirty minutes it allows you easily share it with your friends.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, anyone who already knows a lot about Warhammer, and honestly Christians who appreciate spiritual Truths offered in this book.

Interesting First Dive into the 40K Universe

I liked both stories alot! The first “Incorruptible”, felt like an action packed space epic. The second “True Name”, felt like a more personalized tale. Both stories felt connected but I got lost a couple of times hence the 3 star. The performance was top notch!

Great First book for Grey Knights

Awesome story, gives good look into Grey Knights as well as a general good look into Chaos. Hope Audible provides more 40k books.

need longer grey knights stories

as much as I love grey knights, these stories are so short, what I would do to listen to a 15 hour long story about grey knights.

Short but very interesting

I would have preferred to listen a longer story as opposed to 2 very short ones, I really enjoyed the first tale and could have stopped there as the second was ok but repetitive

Well that was unexpectedly awesome!

Don't let the short length fool you! These are 2 epic stories with excellent effects and performances.

It's OK.

Good but a bit short, not the best of the space marine stories out there by far but a nice bit of grey knights fluff.

Short and Thematic

I started collecting Grey Knights so I figured I should listen to a book that will give me the feeling of what a Grey Knight is and I was not dissapointed. A shame though for this to be the only book I can find so far that cover the Grey Knights, wish for there to be more. The narrator was good at making the tone shift from scene to scene, with extra help with the thematic sounds and music playing in the background. The voice actor were on par with good animation films and games and love to hear more of them in future projects.

Though there was no over arching story that lengthens the book to 12 hour listening time, I perfer short stories follow the many adventure, battles and harships of the Grey Knights(and any other faction for that matter) wish this collection had more stories considering there is a vast world of lore to take from to create these adventure.

Hope to see more novels covering Grey Knight for they are the HAMMER!!

short but sweet

The narrator really brings the story to life.
the stories don't really bring much to the universe except, HOORAH.
I think the main problem is the protagonists have "because I'm Batman" syndrome

A theatrical imaging.

The different take of having sounds for ambience and in place of actual writing in some places was jarring and very distracting from the story or lack there off. Do not waste your time.
