Story
Alex has come a long way in the fantasy world he now calls home. His sole skill has proven to be pretty overpowered, and he's built up some eyewatering stats during his grind of the dungeon. Not to mention he has two beautiful mages at his side. Now that the business with the Beastkin is over, they plan to head on back to the city, victorious. There's just the minor problem of getting back there, and once they do, perhaps Alex can finally return to the grind. If only things were so simple.

Leon is settling into his new virtual life, just him and his harem of skimpily clad maidens. With Brightla’s new Adventurer’s Guild near completion, things are looking on the up and up. Now if only he could live in peace, but that doesn’t seem like an option in the virtual world. Too bad no one else has any OP cheat abilities like him, so it should be fine, right? In any case, Leon won’t let anyone threaten his maidens, especially when more than one of them are eating for two...

Story
Maxwell Morgan has always been a very practical guy. He started working at age 15 because his foster family was stretched thin. He joined the army right out of high school to earn money for college. Even after getting his first job after college, he kept working the three jobs that let him get there—National Guard infantryman, farmer, and blacksmith. About nine months into his new job in HR, Max’s boss arranged a team-building event. Max and his five female coworkers boarded the plane for Sheridan, Wyoming, and then things went sideways. Suddenly, they were going…somewhere else.

Thankfully, the spirit who reincarnated me modified my core with a rune of power. Now, each time I ascend to a higher level, I can add a new rune, enhancing my strength. But this gift was given with a condition; if I don’t climb and conquer the Towers of Acalia, this new world will fall into ruin. Plenty of obstacles stand in my way: raging spirit beasts, tower summoned monsters, rival cultivators. But by bonding myself to gorgeous women warriors, I can ascend and grow strong enough to take on the seven towers. Gods help anyone who stands in my way.

Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake. But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. Publisher's Summary
Alex's life was fairly simple, work during the day and enjoy some sweet RPG's by night. Out of nowhere, he's whisked away to a fantasy world with game-like stats, monsters that drop loot, gorgeous mages, and a Dungeon to explore.
With only the clothes on his back and a single skill bestowed upon him, he has to survive this new world and forge a new life for himself.
And perhaps work on getting a harem while he’s at it.
Authors note: Inspired by light novels, RPG's and mangas. Contains Isekai, light LitRPG/ Gamelit stats, dungeons, magic, and a touch of tropes.

grown hero
The MC gets a great skill that he proceeds to squander like a noob which i wouldn't complain about if he hadn't talked so much about gaming and the fact that he loved rpgs and Manga. Honesty it would all be forgivable if he was autistic or something, but even an awkward guy would have done better. Also his key to greatness is just basic observation and low level critical thinking but everyone acts like he is a genius for thinking of very simple basic tactics.
In a world he is supposed to be a new to he comes off as knowing both too much and too little. Too much in the sense that the populations key tactic is charge the enemy until he suggests otherwise. Too little in the sense that he acts like the biggest noob. Barely checks his stats even tho his op skill suggests they would change quickly. He waited an entire week without looking at them once. I don't know any gamer who would do that.

Excited to see this series on Audible!
Super excited to see this series make it to Audible! These books are great and the best series Brent has produced so far IMO. The addition of the dual narration from Chris and Hazel make it even better!
Overall the series is very entertaining. Style is light novel'ish, adult scenes are FTB, and OP MC isn't an idiot in need of a whack from the clue-by-four. Solid world building, character development is a little light but still okay, major and minor story arcs are well paced and keep the reader engaged. Second book gets even better!

unbelievably horny heiresses
The two main girls fall hoplessly in love with the main character at fist sight. The first one gets a pass, he does somthing really stupid and saves her then, while being nice and amenable, just leaves without asking for anything when she is use to others falling head overheals to even spend time with her.
The second one however, she dos have this rational.
She basicly gives her family the bird to join him. sure, she knows at this point that he is a top tier talent, but that should just mean she should have fished for ways to get him to join her faction. Now, once she finds out how his ability works, then it makes sense for her to cling onto him sooo damned strongly.
aside from that the MC can be kinda dumb and the Intrigue is basic at best.
Also, great voice acting.

Way better than his other series.
Really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to hear the next book. I tried this author's Light Lordy series and man it was so bad. The protagonist was absolutely horrible. But this series was actually really good. Not a terribly unique story. But a fun ride with many isekai tropes common to anime. Kinda feels like a fun amalgamation of Konosuba and Danmachi. Though with an MC that actually has some sense.

Great story and awesome narration
Brent has created a very cool story, it's alot of fun to read. Christian is already one of my favorite narrators, and hazel isn't bad at all. Although every voice she uses sounds 'sexy' because she I rather monotone with it. It does get a bit annoying but it's still entertaining because it gets interrupted by Christians dialogue. Pretty decent

Danmachi meets FE: Three Houses?
A fun romp with an interesting twist; the hero actually beds the women interested in him.
Granted, these women are hilariously transparent and manipulative, but that actually makes them feel more believable as people, and makes the complete 180 they make feel earned, especially at the close of the book.
The story structure and escalating threats faced by our heroes is certainly a delight to experience, but it’s pretty hard to not draw comparisons to similar stories. I feel this does enough to differentiate itself from the crowd to merit interest and investment in the world being built.
I don’t know if there are plans to release the next two novels as audiobooks, but I would like that to be the case.

I really want to like this but the mc can't get his head around the fact that this is his new reality everything he has done has been as of he's a character starting a new rpg and it's so stupid if it wasn't for the plot making his decisions work somehow he would be dead twice over if your plot has to bend for the character to work as a person then its a bad character he also becomes a simp and tool for one of the women without realising like a idiot giving away all his knowledge for no other reason than she has boobs

Great story and well performed in the most part.
the one difficulty I have had with this is the inconsistent pronunciation of Alex's surname. this should surely have been picked up on quality check. I counted atleast 3 different pronunciations in the recording and it was irritating atleast for me, especially since it was so simple and issue that the author could have cleared up with a voice note.

interesting premise
Although it has potential it appears to be written in the form of a thirteen year olds wet dream. I also find the general flow slightly infuriating as it is fairly predictable post chapter seven. The over use of "handsome" is "luck laster" at best and i agree with a few of the reviews as the MC is ignorant and yet soo insightful it borders on two different people writing the same story. On a side note the male readers tooth whistle is headache inducing while there only seems to be three or so male and female voices. The readers could do with more practice though not terrible to listen to.
