Well thought out

That along with cutting out sugar "Ice cream, cookies, and processed snacks. " and I can honestly feel the difference. Oh, I cut back on my drinking. Instead of that one or two glasses of wine in the evening, I save that for a once a week cheat day. Fingers crossed, but so far its made a big difference in the way I feel, while shedding lbs .

Excellent Book - changed my life

I have found a 24 hour fast is fairly simple for me to do especially on busy work days and best of all I am getting great results! If you are interested in IF and want to give it a try I highly recommend picking up this book to provide you with a solid foundation of what to do and why. If you buy the book and listen it and fail at losing weight with IF it is all on you. Best of luck and enjoy!

Quick and easy read

I enjoyed all of the scientific studies to back up all of the common myths about fasting. It's great to see a nutritionist / body builder prove that you can sustain your ideal weight and muscle mass through fasting and enjoying your favorite foods still.

Great book - weight loss works like a charm...

I bought the book and my wife and I have been losing weight like crazy -- great results. You can eat whatever you want pretty much when not fasting and we feel great. If you go to his website however and buy other books he uses.

Brilliant. We feel great, and are losing weight!

Excellent, science-based approach, cutting to the bottom line of weight loss and overall intersection of eating and health. Well written. We've already lost several times and began to appreciate food more by taking 1-2 simple breaks from eating per week. We thought it wouldn't be doable, but have been pleasantly surprised.

Finally Simplification in the World of Nutrition

As a certified fitness trainer and competitive bodybuilder, I’ve listen many books on nutrition, weight loss, diet and fasting. In this book author provides a common sense and balanced approach, while providing the scientific data to back it, that provides much needed simplicity on a topic that has been muddled with unnecessary complexity. I highly recommend it.

SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE

While my weight is dropping at about two pounds per week I am seeing other benefits that are equally impressive. Both my fasting blood sugar and my blood pressure are dropping toward normal levels. Being a senior citizen, I have tried many "diets" through the years but maintaining a rigid eating protocol for a period of weeks or months is not my forte.

Easy to read but still informative

I really enjoyed this book. It's easy to listen, but still has a lot of useful information.

Simple truth

What a common sense approach to weight loss. I listen this in about two hours and I appreciate the authors ability to explain the science behind his approach while still speaking laymen. Honestly as I listen I kept waiting for the catch. But, there’s no catch.

Good overview on fasting.

Good basic overview of the various types of fasting, but left me wanting to know more about how to actually eat. Was hoping I would get more info on the 8/16 fasting option than just a couple of pages. Has good basic reasons to fast, but I had just finished the Obesity Cure by same fellow so this was like Cliff notes to that book.

All pretty easy stuff

Author has changed the way I think about food, he is so articulate. This book actually had many authors, it wasn't clear when he was writing and when they were, but it didn't matter, it was informative and I have lost 14 lbs in 9 weeks doing a 10 hour window of eating, cutting out sugar and trying not to eat between meals, all pretty easy stuff, no calorie counting. It's pretty easy and intuitive.

Want a better life, Then you want this book

I have relied all my life on food being my go to for any type of stress or as a reward for making it through the day. I found the seven day to be hard but also by the end I felt like I could have gone further. I will be continuing the fasting protocols up and as of this writing am in the middle of a 24 hour. Best Book on OMAD that I’ve listen!

This book is perfect! Author's precise and organized style of writing was easy to read, understand, and implement. I love the bulleted lists at the end of each chapter with the main points highlighted. As someone who lost pounds with diet and exercise alone, I have maintained my weight loss using OMAD, but love reading about the experiences of others! I highly recommend this book!
