Mostly Silence

The narrator is fine, but all she does is tell you when to start and stop running. The rest is silence. Being that this is audible, there is no concurrent listening with music or something to distract the mind. I get way more out of the couch to 5k app (which gives the same amount of coaching) and listening to Jody Calls (military cadence) on Amazon music.

This audiobook is recommended

This audiobook was recommended by my doctor. It provides a unique approach to exercise and explains the theory of why this is an effective regimen.

Do not buy audible

This was waste of a perfectly good credit. The book as an audible was complete silence. The only thing you hear is when she tells you to walk and when it’s time to run. Only thing I got out of it is a printable schedule.

(haven't finished) Not motivating enough.

I downloaded this because I wanted to see different options for 5k Training. I previously used the Zombies Run 5k Training which I loved but wanted to look at other options. This doesn't include any music so far and no motivational speeches. it's surprising to see how much just little things like "Keep going you can do it!" can help and thus far there is none of that. It would really help to include some good beats as well. I don't see myself enjoying this that much but I will try my best.

Helpful listen!

I found this to be an incredibly helpful listen. The only thing better than learning how to put a training plan together yourself is having do it for you!

Simple and concise!

Love this book. It’s simple, concise, and eased some of my concerns about preparing for my first full marathon. The Author is from FL like I am, so he gets the challenges of running in the heat and humidity. This book is great for anyone who lives a busy life, and wants more control of their training plan so that they can realistically stick to it and succeed!
