Pretty disappointing.

If you would find it helpful and informative to hear the notes on each of the strings read in a monotonous, mechanical voice, you might like this. Otherwise, give it a skip.

Just amazing

It makes learning the guitar easy. And if you are interested in learning the fretboard, and you love to pick or want to learn to pick as I do, then this is the beginner guide.

Methods for beginners

I'd recommend it for those that want a basic understanding, but it's not going to help someone to look for in-depth levels you may find in a college course.

One of the best book

One of the best books on the first-ever because though historical in scope the author takes you on various journeys that help you to love this instrument and its history along with the players that make it great. It's made me laugh and times made me sad but mostly made me go back to hug my own guitars! Well worth the investment of time and money.

Fabulous

I have listened to classical music all my life, but never really had a deep knowledge of its forms or history. This lecture series has given me a much deeper understanding and greatly broadened my musical pallet.

A great writer book indeed!

This is the only book that looks authentic and real. While many others are just a random compilation of information as far as I know. Refer to all for this guitar lesson guide.

Useful book

This course has really helped me learn and have a greater appreciation of western music throughout history. From music terminology to understanding the historical context, operas, concertos, and other works make much more sense!
