Publisher's Summary

Come for an emotional ride in this stand-alone romance by New York Times best-selling author J. Sterling. With Sterling’s laugh-out-loud banter and a trio of brothers you’ll fall for, this realistic story is a must-listen.

I’ve seen Frank Fisher before, but he’s never seen me. He definitely saw me tonight. And I know I wasn’t the only one who felt the world shift the moment our eyes connected from across the bar.

But Frank isn’t like his brothers. He’s quiet, elusive, and keeps to himself. It makes him mysterious, but that’s not why I’m drawn to him. It’s something else. Something I’ve never experienced before, as cliche as that may sound.

I want to be around him. Get to know him better. Explore what’s growing between us, but Frank keeps holding back and I have no idea why. Good thing I’m a persistent woman who doesn’t scare off easily.

Right?

I guess we’ll see.

The Fisher Brothers is a series of stand-alone novels that can be sipped one at a time, or binged in order. Each book is named after one of the drinks at their popular bar!

Insta love

But at what cost? Ryan gives up the girl who’s always been there for him for the girl who catches his eye at his bar. Doesn’t sound so great and it was a little hard to stomach but it works out in the end. Girls, if you’ve stayed around for 10 years wanting marriage and he doesn’t, move on and don’t be a Shelby. Hated that part of the story At times I didn’t feel like Ryan deserved his Claudia. He didn’t have to be so weak, but maybe he found the girl just right for him in Claudia. Supporting cast helps save the story.

Omg - awful female narrator

Ugh, slow burn and the female narrator is awful. She’s supposed to have a Colombian accent but she is not. And when she “has an accent, it’s awful, more Irish/Scottish.” Horrible, like rolled my eyes and wanted to FF through female narrator.

Book Lover

I’ve never laughed out loud so much during a book, or felt so much sorrow for a character in how things played out. Absolutely love this book

Just Ok

This wasn't a bad book but Lordy they were too much in their head. Too many thoughts and not enough story.

Second Fisher Brother

This is Frank’s story, and even though he is a very nice man, it takes a while to really warm up to him. While there’s no overt cheating, he does start a friendly relationship with one woman while he is still with his current girlfriend.

I could actually identify with Frank, as it’s hard to be in a relationship with someone you no longer love while wanting something else in your life. It was obvious he was not happy, even from the previous book. It was nice to see him move on from his relationship and find happiness with Claudia. Everyone deserves to find happiness.

awful, just awful

I don't understand all the positive reviews. Frank, is a garbage person. I never read or listened to a romance with a garbage person hero. Claudia, was okay. The other characters were okay. Shelby deserved better.

Uggg Slow story and narrators:(

I couldn’t get passed the 5 chapter how slow the story moved along. The narrators didn’t make it easier.

DNF

OMG so boring! So much repetitive dialog too many of the same scenes over and over again. I couldn’t do it. Glad it was an Audible Plus rental.

Sweet

Too much inner dialogue and not enough actions (or sex). I understand the need for connection, but many other authors demonstrate that more effectively.

True love ❤️

I really enjoyed this book, all three books are great. The Fisher brothers are hot and sexy with panty-dropping smiles. Frank deserves to be happy, no one should stay in a relationship out of obligation. I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

The second book of Fisher Brothers

Love this book, just like the first one. Will start the 3rd one straight away. They are all lovely romantic stories with a bit of struggle to get them. For those who don’t want racey books, these are for you. Lots of desires and a bit of bedroom play but nothing that would turn anyone off. Enjoy!

Thank you.

I wanted to love it. storyline was great

I really wanted to love this story. I found the guy character great. and the female lead started off alright. at first I thought it was just her bff that was annoying but then there was a freaking 20 minute chapter that was solely about her deliberating what it meant that he only kissed her on the cheek for their first not even first date. not just her voice's annoying but their conversation was immature and shallow for supposed 26year olds
I won't be finishing it.

Very disappointing!

I struggled so hard to get through this book. After listening to the Nick and Jess story I was excited to continue the series but this book was just so blah.
The female character was somehow both devoid of personality and annoyingly uptight at the same time. I can't help but think the terrible narration (particularly the female) made me dislike her more.
The female narrator was terrible and should honestly consider a different career path. There was no flow to the way she read, pausing mid sentence constantly despite no punctuation and the voice she did of the flatmate made me want to rip my ears off.
The whole story could have been summarised into novella length rather than the constant repetition of thoughts and conversations causing it to go on for over 7 hours.
I'm keen to continue on to Ryan's story however because I want to see how the author writes a playboy manwhore who is also uber romantic and 'thinks like a chick.'
Hopefully I'm not disappointed again!
