Publisher's Summary

What's it like to be a monster in a town full of monsters, who don't know you're a monster? Complicated and a little scary, but doable.

What's it like to be the girl who can't die - that everyone seems to always want to kill? Frustrating as hell.

What's it like to accidentally raise a psychotic alpha vampire everyone fears, who drops a lot of bodies on his first day out as a gift for your troubles? Terrifying, if I'm being honest.

What's it like when that crazed vampire tells you he wants you to be the happy little intermission, during an ongoing ancient story, and expects you to use your vagina to draw in a werewolf alpha, a Van Helsing alpha, and a sexual deviant alpha, so he can have his old friends back? That's when a girl has to stop, look around, and question her life choices.

I really don't know how this stuff keeps happening to me. Life was simpler when it was just me accidentally blowing myself up while trying to create potions and shampoo. Ever since coming to this town, I've had my throat slit by vampires, attracted way too much attention from some powerful alphas, and did a lot of regrettably stupid things because I'm too gullible for shady monsters.

Contains mature themes.

Love the series...

I love this book series. The woman who reads for Violet is awesome. She catches her personality perfectly in my opinion. The man who is reading for all four of the male leads has a great voice but he does this thing where he pauses and empathizes every fourth or fifth word in a sentence and it’s like having a verbal jackhammer constantly pounding inside your ear...for the entire book. All of the characters are read like that. It’s not just quirk one of them has. It’s all him and it’s non-stop. I fully plan on listening to the rest of the series, I just wish he would read a sentence in a smooth manner that doesn’t make me cringe. Otherwise, I highly recommend!

3.5/5 stars

well Kristy Cunning certainly knows how to build suspense. I intend to continue the series because it's so ridiculously interesting and imaginative.
though at some points I really don't want to continue, because it's sickens me how Violet allows Aryan to treat her, how she continues to forgive him and pants after a man who treats her like a pet he can use and abuse.

Frustrating

The world building is great in this series. And I think the final plot/twists will be good too. I really wanted to like it. However, the plot moves forward soooo slowly and by means of the FL finding some breadcrumb info that the MLs are withholding…it was the same in book 1. I hate books like this, where characters withhold info from each other for no real reason other than that’s the bulk of the plot. It’s so frustrating and irritating. This spoon- feeding, dangling morsels of info then snatching them away type of writing leaves a bad taste when book is completed.
I also kept waiting for the female lead to grow a spine since she’s supposed to be a “monster” and you get glimpses of it, but then she turns right back into the same doormat as in book one. The MLs walk all over her and she doesn’t really do anything about it. HATE that. If the FL had shown some smarts or had a little more self-respect and less “I can’t resist him, he’s so hot even though he treats me like a stupid bimbo” type doormat, then I’d continue with the series even though this writing style drives me nuts…. But she’s a brainless, horny doormat. Also, the author killed off the one sarcastic, outrageously funny character in the beginning of the book 😒. Instead of being excited to read the next book. Will not continue.
Again, this world seems like a great story, but would’ve been better with a strong female lead and different execution.

Second book was overall better than the first

I enjoyed the second book more than the first. For one, I felt like the narrators have grown on my more, and I didn’t have trouble following. Also, there weren’t any vague, weird scenes like the bed and breakfast scene from the first book. It felt like everything was better thought out and made more sense. I was also pleasantly surprised that the guys are being exposed to more of her secrets now than I expected. I expected at least a few books to pass before that started. But still, the author isn’t making it easy for anyone to put all of the pieces together.

Spoiler alert

So listen the book was really interesting the first book was really good. However the main issue with this book is that it’s supposed to be some kind of reverse harem and it’s done really poorly because I don’t understand half of how she supposed to connect with these men the romance is very very low and the whole ghost possession As the first sex scene is just too weird for me like literally she lets a ghost possess her body so that the ghost can have one final hurrah before she dies WITH HER MAN Who is supposed to be a part of her harem

she’s has not even had a chance to make romantic connections with really was just awful. Sorry but after that horrible Sex scene I just had to bounce!

Super fun!

What a surprisingly fun listen! Original storyline and a fun twist on some familiar characters. The story held action, excitement and some steamy scenes. Even had me laughing out loud. I’ll be buying the next in this series 🤣

Love!

You have to get used to the male narrator.
Wish the voices switched like dialogue.

I like the male voice, but.. it's very sleepinducing and wrong for this story.
Awesome book and I want to know everything of the lore! Will buy the rest of them .

***Freaking awesome***

Omg I love Violet and I'm devasted for Anna. Gypsy freak is an addictive un-putdownable book and I want more. I have read this book and now I just finished listening to the wonderful narrative of Melissa Moran and Shaun Grindell thanks guys for bringing my favourite characters to life. Violet is hilarious, and the way they described her dancing had me sputtering and chocking on air I was laughing so hard.

AMAZING!!

This second book was just as amazing as the first! If you have read the first book then you'll have probably decided to read this book already. But, just in case, I'll write a review for it anyway. All the characters in the story definitely possess some growth throughout the series so far. This book especially leaves you with a bit more of an insight into Anna's mindset and the things she processes in her state. Violet still maintains her secret, however, we do get more insight into that as well through the history briefly heard about. What Violet turns into has yet to be described, however, it does make a slight appearance in the book which creates a large uproar in the plot and quite a lot of deaths to maintain that secret. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has read the first book and loved it. Enjoy!

Great follow up.

I was a bit unsure if was going to continue with this series but really enjoyed this book more than the first one & as secrets are slowing being unveiled cannot wait to see where they go & what is the truth about Violet.
