Publisher's Summary

To save the only mother I’ve ever known, all I have to do is hack a tech billionaire.

My foster mother is sick. The woman who gave me a home, love, a life. I’ll do anything to find the money for her surgery, including using my skills as a hacker.

My name’s Remi, also known as Rogue Angel, and usually I work for a security company testing clients’ systems. But now a shadowy bad guy has tracked me down and given me an ultimatum.

I have to hack Rivera Tech - the biggest technology company in the world, owned by billionaire CEO, Maverick Rivera. If I do, I get paid and I can help my foster mother. If I don’t, my family is in danger.

Hacking Rivera is no walk in the park, and soon I find myself in a tantalizing game of cat and mouse with big, grumpy, and way-too-sexy Maverick. What I never, ever expected was for him to make me feel safe, or to threaten my closely-guarded heart, or to ignite every single part of me.

I can’t drag him into my mess.

But Maverick has other ideas, and he isn’t a man who takes no for an answer.

DAMN IT, THEY’VE ALL GONE NOW

A very enjoyable story as the hacker and the CEO play an entertaining game of cyber cat and mouse because she desperately needs the money to fix her family’s health problems. So she tries to sneak passed his firewalls to get to his Top Secret files.. but, when the cat catches the mouse, things aren’t what this damaged grumpy hero is expecting. And, from then on, things go deliciously right.. and despicably wrong. Suspense, drama, humor, sizzles, sex, chemistry and preloved secondary characters are all included in this entertaining and well narrated dual POV story.

Worth a credit? Yes.

Sexy and Funny

This story will have you laughing out loud. Holding your breath in anticipation and smiling. I loved this story. the action was great, character development was real and the passion was raw. The first sex scene was one of the most beautifully raw scenes I've ever read, and the narrators did a wonderful job. highly recommend this author! Absolutely a great book.

5 star story... 5/3 star narrations averages to 4

I am a huge Anna Hackett fan and have read this book, so I was very excited to hear the narration. Gregory Salinas gave a solid performance and did very well with all the different voices. Rose Dioro was not so strong. Her Brooklyn accent was weak and there was a lack of consistency between the two narrators that took some getting used to. Overall, I believe it's worth purchasing especially if you'd rather listen to a story than read it.

Same story, bad narration

I enjoyed the first two books in this series but this one wasn’t worth the credit. Horrible accents and just overall bad narration. It’s pretty much the exact same story as #2 in the series with little effort by the author to change much. I only muddled through because I hate leaving a series unfinished. Luckily it’s short.

Entertaining characters, suspense, action

This is the 3rd book in this series. This is Remi and Mav's story. They struggle through danger and suspense and find love. The action scenes are entertaining. I enjoyed all the characters so much. It is a very enjoyable book. The performance is very good, except I didn't like it when the performer gave Remi the Brooklyn accent. Annoying to me.

Hackers, national security, and assassins!

Remi Solano is in need of funds for her family and chooses to dip her white hat into the black to get it. This puts her on the path to meet Mav Rivera, where the chemistry is so palpable that you know instantly it won't be the last they see of each other. Add in an unhappy client with murderous intent, and you get an action packed good time.

Love this story and have reread/relistened more than once.

Laughing …

I don’t think I’m supposed to be laughing while Remy and Mav are fighting for their lives at the end but I can’t help it. The things they are saying so mega cheese and Salinas does a hilarious accent for Remy and when screaming … Oh my gosh I just lost it.

Okay story, but fid not like the narrators.

One narrator used an accent but the other didn't. also do not care for the 3rd person narration.

Fast paced and a fun caper

I first read the story via an ebook and then relived the story through the audiobook. First, the story: I love it when a strong, smart female is one of the main characters and Remi totally exemplifies that description. Remi, in her desperation to save her foster mother signs up to do something nefarious that brings the last of the billionaire bachelors, Mav, into fire. She agrees to hack into his system in order to find out about a secret project he's working on. She's smart, she's sassy and overall, she bring color and light to Mav's world. Mav is against relationships because of his past but he can't resist Remi. Think fun banter, quite a bit of action and overall, just another fun look into the life and love of the billionaire bachelors. (And isn't it fun to see characters geek out about what they love the most??) What I love the most about the books by Anna Hackett is that the pair truly becomes an awesome team. There's no forced fight between each other but rather, just a natural progression in the conflict that brings the pair even closer together (mixed in with some dangerous situations, naturally!)

Gregory Salinas' smooth voice was really well matched for Mav. I really liked his performance although he did a Brooklyn accent for Remi and as a New Yorker, I wasn't convinced! But overall, I enjoyed his narration. Rose Dioro's overall narration was great as well and in general, I really felt drawn into the story because of these great story tellers.
