Publisher's Summary

The tranquil little town of Willow Ridge is facing a startling challenge. Wealthy Nora Glick Landwehr is determined to make it her home again - and put her past to rest. Cast out by her own family, Nora can't reconcile with old Amish ways or her strict father. But she'll do anything to help her community embrace the future and to and make amends to the daughter she had to give up. So she certainly has no time for her reckless new neighbor, Luke Hooley. They disagree about almost everything. And how can she trust him if he always seems to believe the worst about her? Somehow, though, his unexpected support and passionate heart are helping her find her own way in faith. And Nora will discover that even in the face of insidious lies and unyielding judgment, God creates unexpected chances for forgiveness - and love.

Beautiful Storyline

I can’t begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed this entire series. I listen to it so slowly because I don’t want to miss a single part and I don’t want it to end. Well executed storyline and the person doing the audiobook is excellent also which helps tremendously.

overall it was good

I have enjoyed this series a lot, but I didn't like how Luke and his brother have devolved over the time of the series. in the first book they were in they were not womanizing jerks. but that seems like all they are in this one, especially Luke.
It also bothers me with Millie being only 16 and dating a guy who is almost 30. I don't like relationships like that, even in fiction.
I also noticed several instances of repeated sentences, which must have been a mistake with the audio.

Liked this for the most part

I have listened to all 6 books in this series which indicates that I like this author. However, Luke was one of the main characters in this book and in past books his character was more on the periphery. I really dislike this character. He is a perfect example of a womanizer and every woman who is attracted to a womanizer thinks she can change their ways. The story line seems to support this falsehood. Luke was portrayed as if he had changed at the end. I felt the character was only putting his best foot forward to win the object of his desire. I wish the storyline had shown a true change in this character.

Well done. Super performance.

If you like “Amish stories” you’d like this book. I’ve listened to many of her books and enjoy them. Interesting, always end too quickly for me. I recently had major surgery and listen to audiobooks frequently. I like her books bc they are gentle, with great plot lines.

Great story

Loved it. It could use a little more editing as it repeated a couple times.
