A well crafted book

Richard Estep tells his paranormal investigation stories in a down-to-earth and matter-of-fact way. Unlike some of the ghost hunting shows on TV, this book does not sensationalize, nor are there smoke and mirrors.

I chose his book hoping to be educated in the ways of a modern day "ghost hunter". I was thoroughly educated and entertained. I remain a skeptic, but I am more aware that the "things" I see out of the corner of my eye may not just be caused by lack of sleep or flights of fancy.

The final chapter is the story of Kyle. You will truly re-evaluate your definition of "hero" and what it means to be one.

I listened to the entire book in one day, unable to take the earbuds out! I can't wait to add more of Richard Estep books to my Audible library.

Not enough ghost stories

Too much blah, blah, blah and unrelated filler describing common health conditions. Not enough ghost stories.

Did not disappoint

As usual Richard has captured something that everyone is at least a little curious about or like me a little obsessed with. Thanks again for you writing.

Unexpected but great final chapter

Excellent narration, and an excellent set of stories put together by a neutral voice. The ending of this book was a bit of a surprise, but a welcome and eye opening one.

Ridiculous

Stories that were without credibility. Had a hard time slogging through it. Sorry I bought it.

When your Favorite actor plays in a bad movie

Very disappointed, he begs for everyone to keep and open mind but he's an atheist\agnostic who believes in a medium but not a higher power he is a paranormal investigator who is very quick to dismiss God I felt he was trying to hard to please broader audience, and it annoyed me. I didn't like how opinionated he is, I thought we would get stories like Paranormal 911. But really he is just ranting about his agnostic views on the reader. Its not why I wanted the book if I wanted to listen to rants about what exists and what doesn't I' d go find my own atheist and tell him the sky is blue, and trees have feelings. All in short of it this Audible book is misleading don't fall for it unless you like atheist\agnostic rants. Ghost stories are not scary unless you're faint of heart. If you insist on reading it do it for free. Fortunately Audible returned my credit. But there is one positive I wouldn't mind listening to the voice actor read my favorite books ( he does the voices of the characters) his voice reminds me of my elementary school principal who read us stories of Peter Rabbit, which was nostalgic that's why I got as far as I did in the audible.

a good light ghost story read

I love true ghost stories, so I enjoyed this book. I wish it was a bit longer to keep me company through more of my day of chores, haha! I thought the narrator was pretty good although it was kind of funny that the writer mentioned being British once or twice, and the narrator has an American accent, but it didn't hurt my enjoyment of the stories. I didn't find the stories to be very scary at all which is fine, but if that's what you're looking for, it might be a bit disappointing.

This is more of a Paranormal Interest book than Ghost Stories

Lots of pondering, not much story. It’s more of a discussion of paranormal phenomena than multiple, distinct stories. Narrator’s voice was chipper, perhaps a little too much so far certain parts.

I love Richards book. And this one is entertaining and thought provoking.... I've worked in hospitals and care settings and I've seen a few things in my 30 years....

Rubbish

Gave up on this pretty early. Far fetched (I know, I know... but these stories have no ring of truth at all) and even worse DULL stories.

Captivating

A really interesting collection of stories (wether they’re credible or true is a different matter) written and narrated in a captivating way. Perhaps a little too heavy on describing medical terms than the paranormal ghost stories but for my taste it gave an insight into people’s experiences without the need to ‘amp up’ the ghostliness. Really enjoyable listen!
Narrator is excellent - where shortfalls in the writing occur their voice keeps you hooked!

a lovely book not a scary book

I was hoping for something scary but this book was more wholesome and focused more on the humanity than the spooky

Decent audiobook, buuuut...

I enjoyed it, but as an Australian myself, the fake Aussie accent was SO cringe-worthy.
