Story
In the ruins of Caswell, Maine, Carter Bennett learned the truth of what had been right in front of him the entire time. And then it - he - was gone. Desperate for answers, Carter takes to the road, leaving family and the safety of his pack behind, all in the name of a man he only knows as a feral wolf. But therein lies the danger: wolves are pack animals, and the longer Carter is on his own, the more his mind slips toward the endless void of Omega insanity.

My whole life, I’ve been taught to despise shifters. So when I’m hired to track two escaped convicts, I’m suddenly thrust into the world I hate - or thought I did. Yet I’m inexplicably drawn to the alpha of the pack, whose land the convicts may be hiding on. He’s different than any shifter I've ever met - laidback and quick to laugh, caring, and protective. As secrets are revealed, I start to wonder if everything I’ve been raised to believe was a lie, though it may not matter, because it seems like someone wants us dead.

Publisher's Summary
All Robbie Fontaine ever wanted was a place to belong. After the death of his mother, he bounces around from pack to pack, forming temporary bonds to keep from turning feral. It's enough - until he receives a summons from the wolf stronghold in Caswell, Maine.
Life as the trusted second to Michelle Hughes - the Alpha of all - and the cherished friend of a gentle old witch teaches Robbie what it means to be pack, to have a home.
But when a mission from Michelle sends Robbie into the field, he finds himself questioning where he belongs and everything he's been told. Whispers of traitorous wolves and wild magic abound - but who are the traitors and who the betrayed?
More than anything, Robbie hungers for answers, because one of those alleged traitors is Kelly Bennett - the wolf who may be his mate.
The truth has a way of coming out. And when it does, everything will shatter.
Contains mature themes.

Heartsong or Heartbreak
TLDR: Its amazing. Klune doesnt let us down. Graves' use of his voice is masterful. Buy it!
Sequels are tough. Sequels from a different points of view are even worse. You have to really know the characters and make the reader invested in the new point of view. Klune has a gift in this.
Graves does it again with that chameleon voice of his. I forget that it is just him. His range and control is fantastic.
These characters make me fall in love again and again. Every. Single. Time. I am fully vested in their future and past. The title is Heartsong but you fell so much heartbreak with this book.
Do yourself a favor and read these. Listen to these. Fall in love like so many of us have.

This author is stunningly good!
4 Blue Roses
3.5 to 4 Blue Flames
Narrator Kirt Graves carried me off to Green Creek werewolves and witches co-exist with humans. There is magic in the earth and we experience the politics and dynamics of being pack. The narration transported me inside the pack and let me experience the childlike personalities of the wolfs, so much so T.J Klune's tremendous world and character building was a truly unique experience for me. I listened to all three books, for a whole week almost non-stop. I just had to re-listen to book one and two, to refresh my memory before I tackled book 3.
The word play and fine satire is sweetly entertaining. The "Fucking werewolfs" had me pulling my hair, it was frustratingly dragging, but I couldn't stop listening.
I definitely recommend this series. T.J Klune put a lot of effort into the books, they are one of a kind and a must listen.
Happy Listening

Beyond amazing
This book!!!!! TJ, the evil, evil man, was ruthless in this book. All his teasers warned us but I was not expecting Heartsong to be how it is. (Could I be any vaguer!!) At its core, this is a book about finding home. The love that comes with family. The family you’re born into and the family you make. While this isn’t a lighthearted story by any means, it is a very heartfelt and beautiful story. Like the other two previous books, there are little pockets of humor weaved into the narrative. Thanks for that TJ!! Gave me a few seconds relief to dry my tears!!!! Everyone seriously needs to read this series!!!
It’s not a shocker that Kirt Graves does an amazing job bringing this story to life. I adore how he voices Robbie and Kelly.

!!!!!!!!Amazing!!!!!!!!
This is one of those books that begs for a review to be written, it's impossible to just star it and move on. Robbie and Kelly are characters that we have come to care about in the first two books of the series. I admit from the blurb, that I was confused a bit. I thought perhaps this was a story about Robbie before he met the Bennett pack. Not true, this story takes place at least a year and a half after Ravensong and nothing is what it seems. Because this story definitely needs to be experienced without spoilers, I will leave it at that. This story is about love and betrayal; forgiveness and family. It definitely made me tear up several times and while the ending is happy for Robbie and Kelly another Bennett brother is left in pain. Brothersong can't release soon enough.
Let me tell you something. This author can write! If you haven't read or listened to a TJ Klune book yet, it is imperative to do so. I don't know any author who can drag me through the emotional ringer like he does. One moment you're crying, then you're hiccup laughing because he knows how to infuse the story with such real feeling. I highly recommend this book. Also Kirt Graves narration, he is amazing.

Heartsong

Narrator Kirt Graves
Narrator score🎧 ;I just can't even!!!! Wonderful, extraordinary, supreme, enchanting, marvelous, amazing... I can keep going and going on... he's one of a kind ... my heart broke. I laughed, cried actually yelled... tj is an extraordinary and wonderful author... but if someone can make his books even more than what they already are its definitely Kirt!
Level of steam🔥: well tj books, like tj books are not about steam at all....but and you have a wonderful beautiful moment to expect in this book.
Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: lol!!!! How to explain it? I will take tj's vocabulary and use it. You will shatter! But if you already read/listened to wolfsong and Ravensong I will tell you that... its not more difficult to endure then those books. And remember you will laugh cry and feel this wondrous book will make you feel.
The book itself📖: ok.... were to start? I wrote a review on any book tj I listened to ... and every time I try to find words to describe what his writing does to me .... and today I got that it was absolutely undescribable. Robbie... what he did was behind brilliant.... every single word is calculated to the point of insanity, but the best kind there is. This book this story is just every thing ... its horrible, funny, bitter, sad, comforting, full of hope and magic. (Literally and figuratively speaking) and I'm just in the biggest awe of that book....
For those of you who haven't read/listen to this series (I'm extremely jealous of those that will listen to it for the first time) I will tell you something like that
Wolfsong was a very expensive daimond that you wanted to keep safe... you wanted that something/ someone will take care of that boy named Ox.
Ravensong was full of lost (the saddest of them all and my favorite) Gordo is that stupid a***le that you have to love .. you want him to be safe but it's much more.... much much more....
And heartsong ... omg this book... I promised to myself to not ever spoil a book so I will not.....
Prepare to your self some comfort food. .. some good peace of cake with a good glass of wine.... and just enjoy this series is one of a kind.....
And now all we have to do is wait 9 months for Brothersong to arrive Nd embrace it.
P.s for those who read the series... I adore Elizabeth so much ... but in this book I loved her behind anything. And Rico because Rico... this Papi just took a peace of me.
And if I could go and visit any place in the world it would definitely be Tj's mind. Because wow!

I'm in awe of this series
First thing first; before you start this book plan your life around you reading time. Make sure you have a lot of time to devote to it, because it is addicting and real life will not be your friend. For the duration of this book, the Bennett pack is your family, a family that you’ll be fighting for in every way possible. And in the end, when you finally come up for air a feeling of disorientation can be expected, as well as a good book hangover.
Green Creek and its inhabitants will always have a special place in my heart. When you pick up a book in this series you never quite know what to expect. There’s always something more, some twist you never thought of or imagined. I’m not going into details as I don’t want to spoil the story for you, because going into this story with your eyes wide open is absolutely the best way to experience it. As always what our guys (and women) are going through is never easy, they are fighting tooth and claw for every drop of happiness, for their pack – for their family. There is plenty of angst and heartbreak, but it’s not soul-crushing or will leave you a sobbing heaving mess. You’ll have plenty of emotions throughout though, so no worries about that.
The timelines in this series are kind of all over the place. There is no story that takes place over just a few weeks or months – it’s always years; past and present. And it’s not always clear in the moment, what timeline we are currently following – not until afterwards when you’ll either have more questions or have gained an answer or two. This uncertainty is normally not something I enjoy in my books, but Klune makes it work and fit into the whole experience of listening or reading these books. It makes you connect.
I can only imagine the herculean effort it takes for a narrator to narrate a book of this length, this one is just shy of 18 hours long. Added to that challenge is the myriad and myriad of characters, reoccurring and new – and most of them male. Kirt Graves handles it wonderfully – mostly. The first thing I noticed when I started in on this audio was Robbie’s accent, I’m not going to try to guess its origin, because frankly there’s just too many of them. Anyway, I’m a big fan of accents; they add another layer to the story, to the characters. At the same time, I’m also a big fan of consistency. And Robbie’s accent came and went throughout the book as Graves couldn’t keep it up. But like I said in the beginning, this is a brick of a book and I can’t imagine narrating it is in any way shape or form easy.
As far as voices go, Graves has a limited range of different voices. Male and female characters were always distinguished, but usually not much more than that. Many of the secondary characters do have the same voice and could in theory easily be mixed up. That never happened for me though, I was too invested in the story, I lived in Green Creek with Robbie, Kelly, Joe, Ox and the rest of them. I was there. And I loved every minute I spent with this wonderful pack, this family.
After finishing this book (twice) I’m more than eager to know what happens next in the lives of everyone we’ve come to love – also there is one big bad that really needs to be put down once and for all. The wait for Brothersong might be long and most likely torturous, but I also have no doubt that it will be all worth it in the end.

Finally!!!
I would have given this book 5 ⭐'s but I guess what brought it down for me was how the story was told (Robbie learning his history from the Bennett pack) and how the book started (in the future NOT from where Ravensong ended)
I was confused at first thinking I forgot so much of the previous book and I felt cheated not being able to read about the mating dance between Robbie and Kelly because I'm a romantic 🥰 at heart, T.J. did come through with some facts about it by the end of the book but it seemed like an after thought after everything they went through...
Rico, Tanner and Chris, OMG I LOVE those guys🤣!!!!! The history 😱 they had with Robbie was intense but they came out of it with so much love ❤ for each other.
This Bennett family didn't disappoint, they stood and supported each other even when there was a possible chance that Robbie could be triggered by Robert Livingstone again.
I just love reading about this family and the town of Green Creek and I will be waiting patiently or not so patiently for Carters story next year!!! These amazing series is well worth the wait!

Absolutely heartwrenching book. Klune has a beautiful way with words, and his characters and story draw you in and make you want to disappear into the world he has created

An awesome must read!!!
I eagerly waited this next book in the Green Creek series and I have not been disappointed! I thought the first 2 (and a half) books were fantastic but Heartsong is truly incredible. It captures you from the beginning right through until the end.
As an ardent Klunatic I expected the tears, the joy, the fearful anticipation, the injections of laughter, the 'heart-boners' and the deep urge to either increase the speed of the audible to find out quickly what was coming next or to to press the pause button in FEAR of what was coming next and I was not disappointed - much in the same way as every book I have read or listened to written by the Boss.
Brothersong (due next year) will be the final book in the series and whilst I cannot wait to continue this epic journey I am already saddened to think we will be saying goodbye to the Bennett pack forever.

DO NOT BUY THIS
I was just informed that this is NOT the right version of the book. THE PUBLISHING COMPANY ILLEGALLY POSTED THIS. So I will be returning this and re purchasing it once The profits go to T.J. Klune, as they should.
The low star rating does not reflect the books worth but the horrible people of the publishing company.

4.25 stars
This might not have been my favourite of the Green Creek books, but I adored it still. I didn't see the twist coming and I have a feeling Brothersong is going to ruin me, but it was the sweetest agony to read this because at first I had no idea why Robbie was reacting the way he was. But I got it and I just adored Kelly a lot.

Frustrating!
I really like TJ Klune's work, although this series is one of my least favorites. I haven't enjoyed the way each book changes perspective, I prefer it being the same character throughout, it makes me build up a connection to them more.
The narrator is mediocre, and seems to be using the wrong sort of tones to convey the words. like when a character should sound angry, even says as much in the words, the voice sounds not so angry.
And in this book the characters keep making stupid decisions even when they already know better. Like walking right into an obvious trap.
Other characters in a battle, seemingly just standing around when someone in their pack is being attacked.
I'm not sure I'll be continuing with this series.

No other supernatural series like it!!
Most shifter stories focus on the mating as the main plot, this series has a different dangers to the pack and how they navigate them as members of the Bennett pack members find their mate. It's the dangers that make the series, they are easy books but they are worth it!
This is story was the hardest for me. At the start I couldn't understand until I did and then I was sobbing :'( :'( :'( :'( poor Robbie
I can't wait for Carter's story even if it means waiting 6 months!!!

Fantastic Yet Again!
Never did I think I could find a series of books that one after another they would captivate me.
I definitely found that with this series!
TJ Klune and Kirt Graves have yet again have pulled out all the stops with this storyline leaving the reader/listener yearning for more.
I so can’t wait for ‘Brothersong’ to be released through Audible, and hope, that isn’t going to be the end of the Bennett saga just yet?!
Definitely worth 5 🌟 across the board yet again!

Enjoyable, but a little slow at times
I did enjoy this book, but it didn’t compare to how much I loved the second book, which was my favourite in the series so far. The pace seemed a little off in this one so I found my attention waning at times. Don’t get me wrong, though, there were still lots of good things about the story.

Magnificent!
Make sure you've read the previous two books as you need them to understand this one. Heartsong builds on the already vivid and spectacular world that TJ has developed at Green Creek - bringing new layers of intrigue and feeling to our favourite pack. It's gripping, emotional and I now wonder how I lived without it! Kirt Graves really brings these characters to life in the audio edition.

my fav series from TJ Klune
I have SO much love for the Green Creek series, and I enjoyed Heartsong just as much as the previous 2 books. Heartsong had all the feels, it gave me all the *greens* and all the *blues*. Lots of moments that made me smile and LOL, with all the pack together and messing with each other - some lighter moments in amongst all the heavier ones.
The audios for this series are just so good......I was going to dive straight into the ebook of Brothersong once it released early last week, but decided last minute I needed to do a reread via audio of the series first. I'm so glad I did, I needed a refresh on all the events leading up to Brothersong, AND now it's almost time for the audio of Brothersong to release. *so excited*.

SO GOOD!!!
This series is the best - the story of the Bennet Pack just gets more epic and heartfelt with each book!!! Robbie Fontaine has always been a loner until he was welcomed into an important wolfpack. When he is confronted with contradictory memories, he must work out what is real and what is a lie. Each of the books in this series has been so full of hurt and heart, maybe this one has the most hurt. In the earlier books, Robbie is a light-hearted character, so it was amazing to see his backstory, the agony of not knowing who to trust, and the patience and love of the pack during his rehabilitation. His whole journey was engrossing but the action scenes during the showdown were brilliant. 🎧 Kirt Graves = genius ... I love his voice, expression, and pacing!
