Publisher's Summary

Forever a Wallflower....

Miss Cecily Findlay practices proper etiquette, dances the waltz flawlessly, wears clothes of the latest fashion, and is a beauty in her own right. Even so, she'd never be received by the ton if not for her enormous dowry...which has attracted Flavion Nottingham, a spoiled and entitled earl. This so-called gentleman has beggared his estate and sees Cecily as the answer to all his problems. Most dastardly of all, he doesn't care if he shatters her dreams while executing his devious scheme.

Forever the Spare....

Mr. Stephen Nottingham, successful industrialist, is back in England to save his cousin's (ahem) assets but may have arrived too late. The clean-up involves settling massive debts, dismissing a clinging mistress, and dealing with more than one irate papa. None of that matters, however, as much as saving the beautiful Cecily.

A Forever kind of Love....

Cecily is trapped by Lord Kensington, and Stephen is trapped by his honor. Happily ever after hangs in the balance. Will fate open the doors for their enduring love?

Contains mature themes.

Elegant writing with a twist...

The cover is what caught my eye. Didn’t even read the description and downloaded it. I love historical romances but a few in the past have grabbed interest. I mostly read Rosemary Rogers and have given into Christine Merrill! This book is one of a kind, the story is unique. Not many historical’s start out with this beginning. I highly recommend to listen and trust me it’s that good. For I won’t talk about it but encourage you to give this book a chance. Elegant writing with a twist.

Wonderful story!!

As always, this is another heart wrenching good book by Annabelle Anders. This is the first audiobook Ive listened to of hers and I thought it was quite good, all around good story and narrator. Very unpredictable, yet extremely satisfying.

great story

Strong heroine, honorable hero I found nothing to complain about with the story. I think it's definitely worth the credit to hear this refreshing tail that feels so real. This story represents the good and the bad they show both side of the story.

Good story bad narration

The story is good and I would be interested in the other stories but I just can not get last the narrator. It's so over dramatic and breathy... it's very off putting

EXCELLENT STORY...

I totally enjoyed this audiobook... very different storyline with likable characters. My only slightly negative was the narrator. She was good, however, very dramatic! It took a while to get past that. I definitely recommend this book.

Narrator

Narrator read whole book in a sultry voice. Couldn't get past chapter 4 with this narrator reading.

An Enjoyable Listen

This was the first time I'd read/listened to writing by Annabell Anders - she's a fun author, and I think I'd give more of her work a look sometime. Overall, this was a good book, and I finished it pretty quickly. I found the characters endearing and curious, although some parts were honestly a little silly. It's okay though, I can suspend belief on some things, and it didn't distract me enough to stop. I felt so conflicted about the villain though! The story has an interesting twist that I didn't see coming - in fact, the entire premise of the book was unexpected. Maybe that's what kept me listening; I was curious to see where it was going. It's a steamy book, plenty of heat but not necessarily without build up and story to back it up. The narrator was a little extra, but honestly, I loved her performance; it was fun. I think the best part was that, even at the very end, I still didn't see things coming. I do agree with some of the other reviews though - there was some dialog that felt like modern language, so that was a bit distracting. Overall, it was a fun book.

Loved it

Wonderful story and very satisfying...villain truly gets his just reward! I, however, feel like my karma took a hit since I don't think I could have been so forgiving. Stephen was a bit of a wonk in that he was so devoted to villain. I like Mary Sarah a lot so I highly recommend.

1st in series...Hell Harts no Fury

I enjoyed the book. Like the story. For the title, I thought there would be more action.
The narrator did overall a good job. There were times her breathy voice bothers me. Those around me accidentally heard her did gave me dirty looks! Ha!🤣

Enjoy!
