Publisher's Summary

English edition.

This book will take us behind the scenes of her stardom and inside the music business. Jenni Rivera, a gentle woman often filled with doubt. A spiritual woman who lived in faith. A woman who gave of herself deeply to the community. A woman who wanted nothing more than to be loved, but who could find it only onstage. Told through Pete Salgado's and Gabriel Vazquez's perspectives; both were Jenn's managers, and they share stories about the life of Dolores that no one knew and did not see onstage....

The truth

tells it like it is, doesn't sugar coat it and gives a true sense of what Jenni Rivera was like. Loved the way this book was so heartfelt.

All stories have at least 2 sides

After the series mariposa del barrio, it's good to have another dude of the story. The series although good didn't add up in all places. So a business aspect is great to add to that story. I have two more books to read before I feel I can finally get the story to add up.

Thank you Mr Pete Salgado for finally telling us the true Jenni Rivera fans the truth. The stories her family spun never seemed quite right. Viva la Gran Señora!

Best Jenni Rivera book by far

I enjoyed this book very much. I've read the others and actually had somewhat of a bad impression of Jenni based on her own daughters book but after hearing this version it makes allot more sense of all that transpired during her last days. I wasn't a fan so I knew very little about her, her story really intrigued me. I would have gone to one of her performances before her demise.

Just like the series!

Interesting read and one fascinating woman. It gives you the true definition of who Jenni was, private and publicly. Wish things would have turned out differently for the people who worked closest with her.
