Publisher's Summary

The enemy has a new face now, Jonathon Cromfield. Except he's not really new, is he? Cromfield has a plan, one that includes Rae whether she likes it or not.

Rae is terrified by the idea that she can't die. Everyone she'll ever know will move on without her and leave her all alone. Except Cromfield. She'd rather die than be with him.

The team of Rae, Devon, Julian and Molly must race around the world to find the hybrids before Cromfield does, they have to figure out what his serum really is for, and take it back to the Privy Council all before Cromfield can stop them.

Immortal or not, Rae doesn't have a second to waste.

Bummer they stopped releasing the audio series

I enjoyed these books. I'm truly disappointed that the rest of the series isn't available on audiobook. No time for paper back reading. I hate when authors or publishers do this.

What just happened?!

This book follows the beloved characters in a race against time to save other hybrids. More friends who are foes and new discoveries. Rae fights to do the right thing and then returns to London to find unexpected consequences! About her great installment leaving me rushing to start the next book! Great book, series, and narrator!

The quest for truth continues

The story continues, and May continues to weave a very intricate and entertaining story.

I first bought the set because Sarah Ann Masse is the narrator. She has really grown with these characters. Although Rae is tall and Sarah Ann is, well, not so much, Rae and Sarah Ann are one in my mind.

May has really grown her characters. The by play and interplay between Rae and Devon and Rae and Molly is funny in a way that someone who has had a real friend can understand.

One warning. If you haven’t read or listened to the first six books, you will have to accept that some of the history is not re-explained in later volumes. But they are all interesting, so five on in.

Another great addition to the series!

Our team of teenagers from Gilder, head out again to face an unknown threat. But as they find leads in the mission things just keep getting worse . I find this series just gets more suspenseful and complicated the more books I listen to and it makes me just want to get on to the next one no matter the time of day!
I received a free code for this book from Audiobooks Unleashed to listen to on Audible. This review is my own honest opinion.
