Little Boy Blue (Book #5) Continuation.
What did you love best about Hide and Seek?
This was not as enjoyable as Little Boy Blue. Something is lost when Helen is not interacting with her co-workers regularly. It makes for a monotone read.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I think the most interesting thing is that Aldridge has managed to stretch this character for 6 fairly enjoyable books. I think characters have to be REALLY interesting to sustain a series. Helen's personal baggage is starting to really get old, however, and I may not continue the series after this.
Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Bower – was your favorite?
I really like Charlie but, as most of the leads in these books are female, after a while they all started to sound the same.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not particularly. I think they've become formulaic. They're still good but not as good as some other police procedurals.
Any additional comments?
N/A.

Having read all of this series this one was a bit far fetched and the storyline much more predictable than its predecessors. I will still purchase the next one though and look forward to a return to the usual excellent storylines and fuller characters.

Great - but...
... not as good as the previous 5. It finished the story off nicely, but equally, not the best. However, in saying that, I still enjoyed it and I love the style of writing. It's certainly another enjoyable book my Arlidge. The narration is excellent!

Best one yet
I have really enjoy this series and this instalment did not disappoint.
At each chapter I never really know what direction the story was going to take and the superseded was built perfectly.
Even though I love the DI Grace I think this has left things in a perfect place.
If you have read the previous books then you will really enjoy this one and if you haven't I would recommend starting from the beginning as they don't disappoint!!

Another great!
What made the experience of listening to Hide and Seek the most enjoyable?
Loved this - the story of both inside and outside the 'prison'. The narration was great and really can't wait to see what is next for Helen Grave
Who was your favorite character and why?
Love the main character, Helen Grace. Just a work of 'art' from M J Arlidge!
Which scene did you most enjoy?
As the story starts to climax but I can't say too much and give it all away!!
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Few 'huh' moments when you are wondering what is around the corner so to speak!
Any additional comments?

I did as another reviewer suggested and was able to listen to Part 1 and Part 2 straight after each other. The story was good and there are some seemingly impossible happenings in the prison but it is fiction !
