Publisher's Summary

Yasmine

Pause, take a breath, and glisten... That's the better way to phrase Yasmine Brown sweating to death on her first hike, which is, obviously her punishment for being too cheap or too stubborn to buy the outdoor-loving woman she calls her best friend a stupid gift.

Most people are willing to accept her famous baked desserts as the perfect present. Unfortunately, that trick doesn't work when your best friend is also your employee. One little trek to make the birthday brat happy won't kill her, right?

Sutton

Halt, take a sip, oh no, she's slippin'...One minute Sutton Thisleton is having a drink, and the next he's helping the most gorgeous woman he's ever crossed paths with out of the small hole she fell into. Most people wouldn't see this as the right opportunity to grab a date. They also wouldn't wander from city to city because the wind seemed to shift them another direction one random afternoon. Good thing he's never been most people.

What will happen when these two opposite worlds continuously collide? Will they find a way to create a sweet, long lasting treat together, or will it end with one of them being told to take a permanent hike?

I didn’t want it to end!

Best audio book I’ve listened to all year!!!
I squealed like a little girl when I saw Xavier Neal published an audio book & hope there are more to come. I read the kindle version & the audio did not disappoint at all. This book is filled with laugh out loud moments, sweet sighs & oh the %#&$ that did not just happen situations.

Mari was amazing at becoming Yasmine. She nailed the sass, tender insecurities & confidant business owner. I immediately connected & fell more in love with the character.

Teddy Hamilton created Sutton’s accent & smoothly brought his carefree hippy personality to life.

Together, they brought an amazing book to a new level of amazing.

MORE AUDIOBOOKS BY NEAL PLEASE!

After having listened to, and reading hundreds of books, I can sincerely ssy that Xavier Neal is one of the BEST at making me feel that I am peeking into the emotional ebbs and tides of a growing relationship. The dialog between the characters is A+. Witty, funny, emotional. SUCH an enjoyable experience to listen to Sutton's and Yazmin's story. I didnt want the story to end as soon as it did.❤

Mixed Feelings

Wanted to give the story a higher rating but found some areas lacking. The lead male character was so interesting, could of used more of his backstory. The female lead was confusing at times. Her clothing choices, tattoos, mentioned briefly, and language especially in the beginning of the story didn’t match the savvy business woman she was.
At times it just didn’t seem as if they were two people who would have ever been attracted to each other because of her character’s inconsistencies at the start of the story.
In the end though I was happy they did. In spite of the rushed wrap up with Petal which included unnecessarily the humiliation of our heroine (any woman would have found being forgotten and ignored for 10 minutes right before her proposal hard to forgive), I still liked the characters and story. Should have been longer. Worth the credit.

his accent is great but how many times can you say 'lil bunny' and his black girl voice is HORRIBLE. also, his domineering personality is a turn-off. cant finish.

Cute story

Yasmine and Sutton made a good couple. I like Sutton’s straightforward approach to situations and life. Narrators did a good job with characters. Hope to find more books like this; it is refreshing to have a good storyline and quality narrators to bring BWWM books to life; other authors could learn from this for this genre of books!

I need a Sutton in my life!!!

Shew!!!! I love Sutton! I felt Yasmine's self-doubt! I'm married but can't help but to fantasize about the main character in the book. Have mercy!

Great book

This was a great book. I enjoyed the witty banter between the two main characters as well as how open their relationship was and how it challenge cultural norms! The narrators did a wonderful job and truly brought each character to life.
