THIRTY DAYS

That’s all Adam Steinbeck demands of his wife.

Thirty days in a remote cottage, doing everything he demands, then he’ll sign her divorce papers, give her his half of their company, and walk away.

He has 30 days to rediscover the man he once was. The Dominant Master he hid when he fell in love with the woman who would leave him five years later.

Diana wants the company they built badly enough to go to the cottage with him.

She’ll submit to him with her body, but her heart will never yield.

She thinks this is his pathetic attempt to repair their marriage.

She’s wrong.

Wow! This book was... WOW!!!

I decided to get this book on KU because of a recommendation from a FB group. As I started reading I began imagining Sebastian York’s voice as Adam’s and thought of looking it up on Audible. So, of course I was in awe when found out he was one of the narrators. So my fantasy became a reality!

This book is the first one I’ve read with so many details regarding dominance and submission. The way it’s written, the details and descriptions, the struggle of the characters with what happens in their inside and outside world, as well as how to choose and train subs was so detailed that I felt the struggle of the characters. This is a must read book in the romance- erotica category. Also, now CD Reiss is definitely one of my favorite authors! This book is worth 5+ stars!

Oh what an erotic story!! It had me on the brink of orgasms over and over. I just love CD Reiss’s writing. Complete Submission took me to a place I wish I could have experienced in my lifetime. Bravo!! On to her next book. Mmmmm

Nice Honest View of a Dom's Mind

This is fiction but the reveal of what is in the mind of a Dom should be required reading for some subs that are looking into the lifestyle, I think understanding is complained about by many and this might clear some things up. As to the story: I loved it but think I have guessed what happens in the next book. Can hardly wait to see if I am right, Might sound odd, but I might reread this one before moving to the next one, Good Job Reiss! Great Job Wolfe and York!

Absolutely Great!

I couldn't wait to finish this story and now that I have, I'm sad it's over! I was sucked in and held captive! I will admit that I had to listen to the beginning a couple of times as I was confused but then I got what was going on. Definitely worth a credit! I so got caught up with the characters and their lives! And of course Elena and Sabastion are always great! Besides Lauren Blakley being #1, CD Reiss is now 2nd on my list of favorite authors!

This was an amazing duet. The story was full of emotions. I cried and cursed and longed for this couple.

And can I just add!! Sebastian’s dom voice, YES, OMG, ALL F**KING DAY LONG!

Good book

I'm not much into these types of stories, but I love Sebastian York and becoming a big Elena Wolfe fan. Anyone else out there thinks she sounds almost exactly the same as Andi Arndt?

Different. Some good, some bad.

Maybe I'm not enough into the dom/sub dynamic to appreciate this book fully... To me it overshadowed the erotic element and so it read to me as just part of the story like the rest of the non-sexual events in the story. I still enjoyed it, but felt a bit more pragmatic about it than I expected. Not put off in any way, but not really turned on either. I will say I was impressed with how the tables were turned mid-way through the book.

There is something that I need to address. This author isn't the only one guilty of this... I read it a TON in romances, erotic novels, just fiction in general: THE TWENTY-SOMETHING INDUSTRY TITANS that are the main characters. This is the biggest load of crap and something that immediately disconnects me from stories, making me have to re-engage while trying to IGNORE such a story-telling falsehood. As well, these people behave like twenty-somethings which makes me wonder how they became so successful in business! AUTHORS: The kinds of professionals you are depicting are easily forty-somethings. I realize that's not as sexy, maybe try 30s at the very least. For the love of...

I didn't mind the initial narration where Sebastian read for all males and Elena read for all females, but then they switched that so it was only Elena during her perspective and only Sebastian at the end for his perspective. That was weird. The change in style. For a bit, I thought Sebastian left the project and so they just compensated by having her read the rest herself. Odd.

mediocre

I struggled to care enough about the female to finish. The performances were great which is the only reason I finished. With the two books back to back I got tired of the female perspective. To me she got whiny.

Overall a Pleasant Time

The writing is good quality. The characters are well developed and likable. My reasons for not rating the story higher is because it started out strong, but definitely feels pushed down in quality and maturity by the ‘cliffhanger’ aspect. I do not think it was necessary to drag on into a second book that essentially exists because the characters cannot get on the same page for reasons that feel like a scenario out of high school. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy aspects of the second book, but I think they could’ve been intertwined into the first to make a more cohesive experience.

I really enjoyed the performances by the actors. They fit the characters well, and gave a deeper connection than I would’ve had just reading the text.

Loved it

The only thing I didn't like was that the second book wasn't a duet other than that really enjoyed it.

An Interesting Story

The narration was perfect. It was an interesting perspective of BDSM and to watch Diana grow. Adam was the perfect Dom.

I have to confess that Part 2 (Diana's perspective), she drove me absolutely nuts and I wanted to throw the book out the window!

I was surprised that after all that Adam had done, turning himself inside out for her, that she was so selfish and only thought about her needs. Aargh! I didn't like her at all! Hence the 3*

Anyway, the Epilogue was sweet and I'd like to know how Sebastian and Serena get along in their new roles.

Went on too long

I just didn’t fall in love with the characters and didn’t understand why the author dragged the story out for so long

Everything about this book was amazing. It had it all hot sex, feels and angst. One of the very best I have listened to.
