Outstanding YA Paranormal Story
This was without a doubt an outstanding supernatural tale based on Sleepy Hollow and the Headless Horsemen. I was not familiar with the tale but learned quite a bit listening to this suspenseful story. I really enjoyed everything about this book. It is an awesome tale especially around this time of the year where Halloween is right around the corner.
Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.
There is suspense, danger, horror, action, romance, witches, ghosts, and much more. It was hard to put this book down. The characters are well developed and very entertaining. I’m so looking forward to the next book in this entertaining series!
I love suspenseful romances and this one was outstanding. I liked the fact that it is a clean read and appropriate for teens and adults. YA Suspenseful Paranormal Romance is my favorite genre and this one ranks high!

More Than 5 Stars!
Ms. Morea wrote another brilliant book. I am not a fan of YA but this book captivated me from page one to the last. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook narrated by Rebekah Nemethy. She brought this book to life. Teenagers Rowen and Hunter knew each other as children. Hunter moved away from Sleepy Hollow until recently returning with his mom. They become a couple and that's when bizarre things start happening. Rowen comes from a long line of witches. This book has spells, magic, mystery and town secrets.

Outstanding read/listen. Highly recommend.
Hollow's End (The Legend, #1), my first outstanding read from author Marianne Morea. Enjoyable, well-written young-adult suspense fiction. Started slowly as I had to get accustomed to Morea's writing style but when I did I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! “I received a free Au7dible copy of this book in May of 2020 and lost track of it with Covid and all and I'm voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. Now I need to get Time Turner (The Legend Series Book 2) and Spook Rock (The Legend Series Book 3). Interesting story from Sleepy Hollow
Great story! As an adult who reads/listens to paranormal YA, there was a little more romance than what I usually like. The paranormal aspect was great. On the other hand, if I read/listened to this when I was a teen, I would have loved the romance part. The narrator did a great job. I loved all of the different voices.

Incredible retelling of a well-known legend!!!!
Hollow’s End and Audiobook by M.A. Morea was a delightful, spine-tingling, fictionalized explanation based on the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It follows Hunter and Rowen, two high school students who are thrust into a magical, dangerous, deadly Halloween….where legends come to life full of revenge and regret.
This story was incredibly well-written, meticulously researched, and the fictionalized account was a deeply absorbing tale that I COULD NOT stop listening to!!!!! What an inventive, intriguing spin on this tale!!! I especially appreciated the afterword by the author relating how she researched the town, the legends, and the truth! When someone writes historical fiction….the basis in facts is EPICALLY IMPORTANT!!!!! I appreciated the adherence to accuracy of facts.
This Audiobook was narrated by Rebekah Nemethy, who did a phenomenally outstanding job of bringing these characters to life!!!! She was one of the best narrators I’ve heard!!!! Her inflections, tone, and general mastery of the characters was spot on!!!!
I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this Audiobook.

Sleepy Hollow's hidden truths
Marianne Morea, I LOVED this story that spins off old historical half truths.
In this YA story Rowen Corbett reconnects with Hunter Morrissey. an old school friend that moved back to town. Despite the fact that the small town unofficially calls her grandmother and mother the town witches, which makes Rowen's teen years not the most popular at school, but she now struggling with her own issues and concerns. When Hunter and Rowen are paired for a research paper for class they find hidden truths and historical accounts that lead to ominous events both from the towns history and in the present.
Rebekah Nemethy does a terrific job keeping the suspense filled story going, sometimes with intrigue, and sometimes with curiosity, but always wanting to move forward in this really creative story.

Worth your time and credit!
Wow. I really enjoyed this book. It's a great story with fantastic narration. It's definitley worth your time and credit. This is the first book by this author that I have read and evidently I have been missing out. Hopefully the rest of the series will be available on Audible soon. It's a series I will definitley continue with and be recommending often.
It's a well written, creative, original and very enjoyable take on an urban legend. It pulled me in immediately and never let go. The story draws you in from the start with plenty of supernatural mystery, suspense, magic and ghosts with a hint of romance and a little history that all is woven together in a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable story. This is one of those books that I wanted to listen to straight through and was annoyed if I had to pause it for any reason. Don't let the hint of romance put you off it's a "clean" romance and age appropriate for a teen audience. Even though it's listed under Teen/YA don't let that fool you. It's a great story that you will enjoy no matter what your age is.
Great cast of interesting and well rounded characters. All of them. The good, bad, likable, unlikable, nice, snotty etc. They are fun, interesting and believable. Rowen and Hunter are of coarse likable from the start. The secondary characters are fantastic as well. They each had a distinct personality that just made the story that much better. Everyone needs a friend like Chloe. Gran is a force unto herself.
Rebekah Nemethy did a fantastic job with the narration. She has one of those voices that just pulls you right into a story. Her voice fit the characters and story perfectly and sounded age appropriate. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Really good character voices. Both male and female, teen and adult. Her voice for Gran was perfect. She was able to bring the characters, their emotions and the story to life. Hopefully she will be narrating the rest of the series. Very enjoyable.
A couple of mispronounced words. Or lets say the words were pronounced differently than I have always said/heard them. That didn't take anything away from my overall enjoyment of the story or narration.

Incredible story that had me hooked from the start
The backdrop is Sleep Hollow. It's not a re-write of the story, there's plenty of history but it's a unique book. Saying that anyone who is interested in that area of the world will love the book. The horror elements are more thriller than gore and are great. I love the story in general. What is even better than the story though is the characters and the relationships between them. We are eased into all of the other characters through the very likable Rowen. She's nice, although she has her moments, which is nice because it means she's not one dimensional. I love the relationship between her and her mother, and grandmother. Her up and down relationships with her friends and peers is also really well done. Hunter is a great character. I like the glimpse of his past which shows why even though he is the all-american boy that all the girls want he is still a nice grounded guy. I also like how normalised the story makes witches/witchcraft. There's no over-playing what they can do, they can just do it. It's also not used too much. I've read books that use it to seal up plot holes but this is a part of the story without the need to throw it at us.
I loved this from start to finish. It had pace but also felt really relaxing to listen too.
In terms of the narration. Absolutely brilliant!! Great voices for the different characters, especially Rowen. Also a great voice for the general narration. A good sense of pace to the narration that matches the sense of urgency or appropriate situation that the story is in.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
