Publisher's Summary

In his follow-up to the acclaimed Hellraisers, Sellers traces the intertwining lives and careers of four outrageous Hollywood movie mavericks.

“I don’t know what people expect when they meet me. They seem to be afraid that I’m going to piss in the potted palm and slap them on the ass.” - Marlon Brando

“I should have been dead ten times over. I believe in miracles. It’s an absolute miracle that I’m still around.” - Dennis Hopper

“You only lie to two people in your life: your girlfriend and the police.” - Jack Nicholson

“The best time to get married is noon. That way, if things don’t work out, you haven’t blown the whole day.” - Warren Beatty

They’re the baddest bad-asses Hollywood as ever seen: Marlon Brando, Dennis Hopper, Warren Beatty, and Jack Nicholson. They are men to whom rules did not apply; normal standards of behavior were simply too wearisome to worry about. These are men who brawled, boozed, snorted, and screwed their way into legend - but along the way they changed acting and the way movies were made forever. Hollywood Hellraisers is a whistle-stop tour of jaw-dropping sexual activity, misbehavior of an Olympic standard, all-out excess, and genuine madness. It’s a wonder Hollywood survived.

British Tabloid Gossip

Yeah, yeah - it's a sensational "who slept with who" book, but it does sort of give a quadruple biography for the buck. Some of the writing is just terrible - like turn your head and say "what?!" terrible. It's also from 2010 so doesn't have Dennis' end of life story. Since it's a British writer using British terms throughout, I will sum it up with a favorite British word: Rubbish.

No, Just No

I have never started a book and not finished it but this one was going to be my first. But I persevered. Sorry I did. If you like these actors and want to keep liking them, don’t read this book. Don’t say I. didn’t warn you.

Amazing stories of Hollywood greats

Great stories and great narrator. Highly recommend. Shockingly personal stories from the entire careers of Nicholson, Beatty, Hopper, and Brando.

Entertaining and revealing but leaves a lot out

I was surprised the author copped out at the end with regards to Warren Beatty. He is still even at his age regretting his past. However with the marriage to Annette Bening, a talented actress, who widely known as a very centered and intelligent individual, warren has come to a realization that he was a complete asshole in his youth. Now his children will not let him live it down.

Entertaining

Was sad when this Audible ended… hearing all the escapades of these actors was truly entertaining and got me lost in the humdrum of my walks.

Studs of Hollywood

Well Told! 4 very interesting men who were driven by their sexuality. As I have been myself but these guys are in the sexual Major Leagues. i've often been thankful for my anonymity in my own adventurous life but these guys knew how make the most of their fame and other assets to live out their lustful lives. I remember seeing as very old men Glen Ford & Rudy Vallee being interviewed and all they wanted to talk about was all the woman they had sex with! Both around 90. i'm 76 and get it!
