Publisher's Summary

Ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon... the smells of Christmas. The smells of home.

Rachel Murphy longs for home and family. Since childhood, she's dreamed of owning her own pastry shop, but after being burned by a celebrity chef and losing her lease in Arizona, Rachel's spending the holidays with her brother in Montana. To keep her dream alive, she's creating custom gingerbread houses and selling them around town. All she needs is a bigger kitchen... and to stay away from her brother's handsome boss.

Former venture capitalist Nate Vaughn has embraced his inner cowboy and now runs a successful dude ranch where Rachel's brother works. Nate's commercial kitchen is perfect for Rachel's baking needs, and seeing the cute blonde's business acumen, Nate knows she'd be the perfect partner for a new business. When he makes her an offer she can't refuse, he discovers he's interested in more than her gingerbread. While Nate could make her dreams come true, Rachel's heart, as well as her head, tells her mixing business with anything else could be a recipe for disaster. Should she return to Arizona, and leave Nate and her new eager-for-more customers behind? Or can Nate convince her that, here with him in the mountains of Montana, she's already home? For Christmas.... forever.

Ah, Christmas stories...

A fearful woman, banged up by so-called friends and lovers, leaves Phoenix for a short stay in Wyoming to be with her brother. Enter Nate, check-all-the-boxes ranch owner and cheerleader for her holiday baking business. Add gingerbread, snow, warm fires and a misunderstanding, stir well and your Christmas Romance is served. Sweet as sugar. Also very “G” rated.

Good story, easy listen.

This one has lots of the things that I love in romance stories: a main character that bakes, a ranch setting, a woman at a crossroads in her life, and Christmas. The synopsis sounds great. But for some reason, I never fully 100% connected with the characters; I just didn't feel like I was right there with them, watching their romance unfold. So the story was good, but not great. I do like that this is part of a series and some of the characters that are featured in later books were introduced in this one. Narrator does a great job.

Delightful holiday romance!

I enjoyed this delightful holiday romance because of the isolated Montana ranch setting, the wonderful characters and the holiday story that involves lots of holiday baked goods. Nate and Rachel’s friendship slowly evolves into love but it’s a slow burn that kept me entertained just as much as Rachel’s older brother’s protective nature made me laugh. Yes, Ty is overprotective and he treats Rachel like she’s 18 and he generally gets in the way at the most inopportune moments but he’s a great big brother and only wants what’s best for her. You know a brother is devoted when he’ll dress up as an elf to make his sister happy! I listened to the audiobook and I really enjoyed the narration performance of Loretta Rawlins.

sweet romance!

lesson learned the hard way that it's easy to lose someone you love when you put business before relationships. I loved it I can't wait to listen to another one of this author's books

new author

This was a fun read! All the details of the gingerbread houses made me hungry but all their inner turmoil, trying to stay away from their budding romance, filled me up!

This was a new author to me and I enjoyed the audio version very much!
