Publisher's Summary

An irresistibly sexy, emotionally charged MM romance between a broody American and a charming Brit, from number one NYT best seller Lauren Blakely and performed with duet narration by Teddy Hamilton and Shane East!

Look, when I met the sexy, witty Brit on the streets of London last night, I had no idea who he was. He was just that hot guy I wanted to have a drink with, so I asked him out for my first evening in town. One thing almost led to another. After a midnight kiss, we made plans for a whole lot more the next day.

But when I unlock the door to my rental in the morning, the English hottie is lounging on the couch like he lives here too. Great. For the next year, I’ll be sharing a tiny flat with the sexiest guy I’ve ever known.

Time for a few simple rules—don’t walk around the flat wearing only a towel, don’t spend our nights together exploring London, and don’t crack open my secrets for him. Even as I smash all those rules, I try to resist falling for the cocky charmer. But after a taste of his lips, I give all the way in, telling myself one night, and we won’t fall in love.

Too bad in the morning, I discover that hiding my true feelings is the least of my worries, compared to a twist I never see coming.

Hopelessly Bromantic is the first novel in a scorching, emotional, hilarious, two-book epic romance that'll take you from London to New York, from Paris to Los Angeles, and back home. Performed with a full supporting cast including Vanessa Edwin, J. F. Harding, James Joseph, Faye Adele, Evan Parker, Shakira Shute, Robbie Martino, Blake Lockheart, Stephanie Németh-Parker, and Stella Hunter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This will come as no surprise... I LOVED THIS BOOK! Honestly I think Lauren's MM Romance books are my favorite. I love that the world she writes in has no LGBT Stigma at all, this is just a world where love is love.

TJ & Jude were perfect for each other. I loved TJ's fun loving attitude and Teddy Hamilton portrayed him perfectly. TJ was really the person you just want to be friends with because he is so genuine. Jude was also perfection because he too had that fun loving way about him but also has such drive to succeed and see his dreams come true no matter what he must give up to get there. I have to say I really enjoyed Shane East as Jude, I think this is my favorite of all of his work.

I found the back and forth these two had to deal with to be who they wanted to be and still want to be together heartbreaking because when you know you know and it's hard to see so much time wasted. From the meet cute until the very last word of this story I just wanted these too to live happily ever after. This book didn't end the way I expected BUT that is ok because their story will continue in the next book so that means I get to spend a lot more time with TJ & Jude.

The narration was PERFECTION. Obviously Teddy & Shane are both great in this book but TOGETHER I feel like they really outdid themselves, I really liked they It felt like the narrators had fun with this book and they played so well off each other. The rest of the full cast was great too, I love that everyone gets a voice of their own.

Also, I have to add that the Bloopers were HILARIOUS and I loved getting to hear a cut scene because the narrators wanted it ;)

All the feels with fantastic performances!

You had me at Blakely, but beyond that this book is everything I love about love: Falling in love, healing from heartache, getting over something that wasn’t broken but wasn’t the right time, letting go of something that might come back to you someday if you do… This book is the goodness in everyone, all the best characters, all the best in what we hope for humanity to be - Lauren Blakely makes me feel good with every story - even when she breaks my heart in the process and then builds it back up again for that happily ever after we all live for in romance. Jude and TJ are absolute perfection from the meet cute to letting go because it’s the right thing to do. Honestly, I have hopeful tears running down my face right now thinking about this book I just finished. There is a kiss in the rain that made me weak in the knees, let alone what happens after that - Yowza! When beautiful connections and true love are also filthy - that is amazing!

Buckle up for this one, though, because there is something unexpected coming. I’m kind of a mess right now… HOLY plot twists - I was definitely not expecting that end or that epilogue! I can’t wait for what’s next for TJ and Jude in Here Comes My Man!!!! I know it will be well written, beautifully performed, and everything I need from romance while remaining fresh and bringing me new adventures, new experiences, new characters, new love, and fantastic narration!

Now, let’s talk about performances! #Sheddy is AMAZING! Lauren loves audio and it shows with every new book she releases. DUET narration with a full supporting cast including: Vanessa Edwin, J. F. Harding, James Joseph, Faye Adele, Evan Parker, Shakira Shute, Robbie Martino, Blake Lockheart, Stephanie Németh-Parker, and Stella Hunter. All of them are absolutely fantastic performers who bring their very best to the characters and experiences to pull us through the rollercoaster of the romantic experience from meeting someone wonderful, falling in love, and handling real situations for what life hands us all. GET LOST in Hopelessly Bromantic and let these narrators bring you through the full gamut of emotions to finish you off with LOVE all over your heart and soul! The bloopers are once again hilarious perfection!

Hopelessly Bromantic!!

I loved it!

I probably say that about every MM book Lauren writes but it is true she just writes captivating stories with such intriguing characters.
This book was exactly what I needed. I have been struggling with books that hold my attention and this book did that in spades.

T.J stole my heart right from the beginning his sweet nature, the way he thinks its enthralling.
Jude making his dreams come true anyway he can. I loved the meet cute, and when he didn't think he gave him enough info when he goes back. My heart couldn't take it!

The tug a war these characters are facing in the book is the perfect way to explain what they do to my heart. Will they? Won't they? Can then make it work? How? Will there be sacrifices?

The full cast was perfect, and Teddy and Shane were the characters. I love that Lauren picks the right narrator for the job. I can't wait for more, these guys are going to be stuck in my head until we find out the ending!

Flat and

Great performances but a totally flat, perfectly so-so story. Generally don't love LBs books or language style but tried this one based on the premise. Confirmed that I never need to try another. So much cheesy innuendo, no humor or real chemistry and charm.

LB’s books are always a must listen for me, and this was no different. I love the way she writes M/M romances, and as usual Teddy and Shane nailed it!

what was the point??

I don't like stories where the MCs' internal monologue is all about how the other one doesn't feel the same way. doesn't understand them. in this story it goes on and on and on. Even Teddy Hamilton and Shane East couldn't rescue it.

I was pretty disappointed by this. Usually Lauren blakely writes a pretty good book but this was frustrating and unfulfilling.

Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and more stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ galore!!

Hold on to your heart!!! Prepare for another fabulously enticing love story by amazing Lauren Blakely. And prepare to become so infatuated with characters TJ and Jude that the sweet and passionate interactions between them will have you hanging on to their every word.

Hopelessly Bromantic is an amazing story that kept me enthralled right from TJ and Jude’s initial meeting. The performance of the entire cast of characters is flawless. Narration by Teddy Hamilton and Shane East as TJ and Jude is nothing short of perfection and left me breathless and in tears many times just from the sheer force of their combined dynamic performance.

Now as I impatiently await for more of TJ and Jude’s love story, I will enjoy re-listening to the last few chapters over and over again along with the hysterical bloopers offered up after a very interesting epilogue.

As I said before, hold on to your heart, as thanks to Lauren Blakely, however much was left of mine after her Men Of Summer series, now was lost in Hopelessly Bromantic.

Emotional and Passionate!

This is the first book in The Hopelessly Bromantic Duet, a MM Romance. TJ and Jude's story is emotional, sweet, and beautiful. Their slow burn romance is emotional and passionate, filled with twists and turns. They are both great characters. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to Here Comes My Man, the next book in the series. Shane East and Teddy Hamilton did an excellent job with the narration, featuring a full supporting cast of narrators: Vanessa Edwin, J. F. Harding, James Joseph, Faye Adele, Evan Parker, Shakira Shute, Robbie Martino, Blake Lockheart, Stephanie Németh-Parker, and Stella Hunter. This is a great audiobook production. I enjoyed it.

Up for a treat!

Really enjoyed this one. Incredibly good performance and funny with all the bloopers at the end XD

Hadn't imagined the plot twist at the end. Already got the next book in the series.

Enemies-to-lovers, good sex scenes and a tension between the main characters that will keep you up all night for more.

🌶️: 4/5 (wanted more sex scenes😅😏)

So so good, what a treat!!

I pre-ordered the Kindle book of this and then promptly ignored it when it appeared on my kindle and I am now so happy I did because I then had both parts of this duet waiting for me!

I didn't end up reading the ebook but rather listening to the audiobook and omg what a treat!!!! To have an audiobook with a full, incredible cast is just fantastic. Shane East and Teddy Hamilton are amazing and the rest of the cast are great as well. I often read part of a book and listen to the rest, depending on what I'm doing throughout the day but with this one I just wanted to keep listening!!!

The story started slowly enough for me, with TJ arriving in London 7 years earlier, but by the middle of the book I could not turn it off. By the end of the book I was crying in the garden with the emotions from these two not communicating properly. I love these two, both so insecure, neither realising that the other feels the same as them, both (by the end) with ex boyfriends who've affected their willingness to be open with another person, leading to their blow up and the sort of cliffhanger this book is left on.

From a slowish start, by the end of this book I could not wait to start the next installation!!

I also loved the addition of the bloopers from the audio recording!!

Fantastic story, fantastic audiobook!

I received an advanced copy of this story for review and started reading it and loved it. Then I listened to a sample of the audiobook and I knew I had to buy it and finish the story by listening to the full-cast audio. It was amazing and I’ve never been so glad that I used a credit for a book. I haven’t had the opportunity to listen to very many full-cast audiobooks and I didn’t know that they could be such an immersive experience.

As much as I enjoyed listening to this I don’t know if it would have been as good if it weren’t for the excellent story that Lauren Blakely wrote. I knew going in that there would be a cliffhanger and I was OK with that. I only have a problem with cliffhangers when I don’t know there is one in advance of reading the book.

I don’t want to rehash the blurb or retell the story. It was very emotional in places and pretty heartbreaking near the end. Both of the MCs have confidence issues and that leads to more than one misunderstanding.

The audiobook includes the prequel, Shameless Flirt, but reading this isn’t necessary to enjoy the book. It’s actually more like a short teaser. The other thing the audiobook includes is a blooper reel. OMG is it ever funny; it was worth getting the audiobook just to listen to the bloopers at the end.

As soon as I finished listening to Hopelessly Bromantic I immediately pre-ordered the conclusion, Here Comes My Man. I have every confidence that TJ and Jude will get their HEA but I’m sure that Lauren Blakely is going to make them work for it.

Another amazing listen!

I’m getting repetitive in my reviews for Lauren’s books, but this was another amazing story! Jude and TJ are so good together, and they squeezed my heart and never let go. I couldn’t stop listening to it, and I’m in desperate need of book 2! The full cast definitely elevated this story to an even greater level. Love, love, love!

I’m Broken

Oh flipping heck! I don’t even know how to start this review, so the first thing I did was look to see when book 2 is out, and oh my gosh.! I’ve got 27 days to wait, and counting. Enough of my ministrations, and more on the wonders that are TJ Ashford/Hardman and Jude Graham/Fox, in the here and now. I love TJ and Jude together, they just meld together perfectly. It’s like a perfect love story, the perfect bromance, until it isn’t. Coming together perfectly in London “wink wink”, even as they deny the possibility of being together, because - roomies. Then the added problem of distance, London/New York is not exactly easy. Then comes the stubborn dude syndrome, and bam, heart exploded. Ending with a super twist I did not see coming, and aaargh.

There’s a hint in the title - duet #1 - so it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that I was left wanting, but still it did. I need book 2 stat. The prequel - Shameless Flirt which is a wonderful introduction to TJ and Jude is available on all platforms free of charge, it’s also included in the audio version of Hopelessly Bromantic. This leads in nicely to the fact that the audio version of this story features a full cast led by my two favourites Teddy Hamilton and Shane East, who both give it their all. They play TJ and Jude to utter perfection, there’s also a blooper reel at the end which cracked me up. Highly recommend for fans of m/m romance.

Absolutely loved this!

Hopelessly Bromantic is book one in the Hopelessly Bromantic Duet.

Shamless Flirt the prelude to this story was also included in the audiobook which was a great show of what was to come. Plus any excuse to listen to Teddy Hamilton and Shane East.

Lauren always the best audiobooks. Not only with some of my fave narrators but often with a full cast of narrators too. So truly goes above and beyond just a duet, which is definitely my favourite style followed by dual.

TJ was sent to London for a year on assignment as a journalist he couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
Jude is a sexy brit working in a bookstore whilst trying to build his acting career.

This story spans over 7 years. But don’t stress it’s not one of those ‘past and present’ back and forth types. It’s honestly fantastic how Lauren has brought this story together.
There is the perfect level of romance, steam and angst with a medium level of burn.

The inner monologues in this book are hilarious. Blakely has a great knack for wit and sarcasm an it shines through in this series.

That cliffhanger has me desperate for the ending. I’m invested now, I need to know what’s going to happen!

The blooper reel moments on the audiobook with Teddy and Shane is absolutely hilarious. These are definitely among two of my faves but the reel had me in stitches laughing. Once one of them started laughing I was absolutely done for.
If you’re unsure on narrators these two are absolutely top tier and I would listen to them narrate a shopping list!

Captivating story / audiobook .

What a beautiful alluring story .

Hopelessly Bromantic is book one of the Hopelessly Bromantic duet..
The journey of TJ and Jude is absolutely captivating.
While walking along a street in London , they pause , together they feel a strong spark ignite between them.
One downcast American, one alluring Brit , together they are easily sexually aroused by each other..
So much passion between them ,added with wonderful banter it’s a book I couldn’t stop reading..
Then life get in the way , promotion , moving away , time stretches……into ……a very long time ..
Roll on book two!
Perfect narration … absolutely perfect.
